A Staircase of Leaves in San Francisco

Good night, little Bees!

Here's a photo for the #treetuesday initiative by @old-guy-photos.

What I liked about this set of trees was how they were so balanced in height, with the smallest on the left and the highest on the right... The 4 trees had the same height difference between each other, making their tops look like a staircase of leaves.

Looking at the way the branches were trimmed, this effect appear to have been caused on purpose. It's so perfect that I doubt this was accidental. The City Hall Gardener was inspired that day, that's my bet. 🤗

San Francisco has a lot of little details like this that will likely go unnoticed by most people, when they go around on they daily routines... and with their heads stuck on their mobile screens, but these are exactly the kind of planned touches that make it a beautiful city all around.

Do you see this kind of thing in your place? Or do the Gardeners of your city simply trim the trees exactly the same way, as if they were mindless robots, eager to end their daily jobs and return home to watch TV?

On an unrelated note... my eagle eye is working perfectly today. With nothing more than what you see on this photo, I managed to pinpoint on Pinmapple the exact location where I took this shot, 10 years ago! I'm starting to think I ended up in the wrong career. Maybe I should have been a Private Eye! 😎

That's really cool! Around here they just trim trees in a schedule I think. They pay no attention to seasons or if they are flowering trees when they are about to flower. They also trim trees in early summer right when it's getting hot out and we need shade. I love city streets that have trees all over. It makes for a much better quality of living :)

Indeed. They are a good addition to prevent a city from becoming a grey jungle of concrete.

It looks like the tree gods are asking us to descend onto heaven. It's always neat to see an urban jungle having some greenery to enjoy :-)

Yes, it is. Thanks for your visit and comment.

And thank you for sharing the wonderful post! Have a great day :-D

I think it's pretty cool that they made those trees in different heights :)

It is so nice to have trees in the city. They add both shade, but more important I think. They give life to all the concrete (if it's not wooden houses)

Yes, some cities are really dull... not this one. 😁
