A Luz na floresta-The Light in the Forest- Eng-Pt

English

Hello everybody! I hope you're all well.
Since I started in photography, a phrase has stuck in my head forever: “if there is nothing interesting, photograph the light”.
As photographers, we know that light is our basic tool. Without it there is no photography. Therefore, understanding her qualities is very important. In addition to photography, I have also worked in the visual arts (painting, engraving, prints) and the study of the masters of light (Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Hooper) has helped me to better understand the use of light in my photographic work.
The selection that I present today has light as a subject or as a potentiator.
Last year together with my son (we are Photocracia) we had the opportunity to live for a few months in Serra Catarinense, in the south of Brazil. We live in a small cabin at the foot of the hills in the Rio Canoas valley.
A very different landscape for us, used to beach life.
A totally different light, with variations throughout the day and seasons.
Look at the light! Look at the light! It was the most talked about at that time and the rush to get the cameras was inevitable.
Here are some examples captured during our stay in the mountains.
Hope you like it!
stay well and until next time.

Olha a luz!
