Hand-colored with colored pencils and markers: R302 Travel Digderidoo

in Rising Star Game4 days ago

A big, warm hug to all of you, my friends. Even though we're separated by distance, this wonderful game unites us every day and makes us one big family. I'm bringing you a new drawing today, and it's possibly one of the funniest I've ever done, and you'll see why. It's the Travel Diggeridoo, which is part of a rare deck identified by the initials R302. It's a beautiful deck with exquisite details. Before I tell you about the instrument and why it's humorous, take a look at the first images of the drawing and its creation.

The Travel Diggeridoo is a type of flute, a direct descendant of the traditional Diggeridoo, which I showed you in one of my drawings a few weeks ago. To play it, the player doesn't usually blow air like a flute, which is why I said it was similar. It's played by creating a sound from the mouth that is amplified inside the tube as you blow, but you can't just blow because it's very wide and most of the air will escape without producing any music. Although it seems simple, it's quite complex to master.

I mentioned earlier that this is one of the funniest decks in the whole game. And I wasn't lying; it's all because the deck has some funny words printed on it. It says, "A Diggeridoo that looks like a poo." 😂😂. Now you see why I said that. The game plays on the shape of the instrument, which is coiled, and from a somewhat humorous perspective, it does look like a turd on the ground.

It's so funny how much I laughed when I read it. That's why I love Rising Star; if you actually read the printed text on each deck, you discover so many interesting and funny things. They should dedicate a day to reading all the decks. I'm going to make that a goal for myself.

By the way, the name of the instrument, the Travel Diggeridoo, comes from the fact that it's designed to be portable. Its regular counterpart is quite long and can't be carried around just anywhere. So far, you've seen how I drew the base of the deck and the Diggeridoo inside on the paper, and then you've seen how I colored it. Now I want you to see the final part of the drawing, which is the highlighting with a marker, and also some of the materials I used to create it.
