in Healthy Happy Kids2 years ago (edited)

Hello everyone,

Thank you all who subscribed to my community here, Healthy Happy Kids. ❤️🧒
I know there aren't many posts but slowly we'll get there. I didnt have much time to grow the community and talking about that, I am grateful for your help spreading the news of its "existance". So yeah, thank you for that! 😁🧡

I was looking through the photos I still have on my phone (cause I need to download them on the computer and save them on my external hard drive) and I found these two bee polen recipes I made a few days ago.

Bee pollen Chocolate Smoothie

My son Caleb, 3y and 7mo, asked for a chocolate smoothie this week and lucky me, I had some bananas on the counter and coconut milk in the fridge. I made the recipe two times already.
He was so sweet to ask for a smoothie and I was more than happy to make one for him.

First time I made thia choco smoothie recipe, he drunk thw whole glass in seconds. I think it was under one minute the whole thing. I kept saying to slow down but nothing. He just glug glug...and in no time the glass was empty.

Ingredients are just a few:

  • bananas
  • coconut milk (or any other plant based milk)
  • bee pollen 1 Tbsp
  • dark cacao 1 Tbsp and carob powder 1 Tbsp

Put everything in a blender and thats it.

Bee Pollen Fruit Smoothie

And the second smoothie was made with a lot of fruits and some bee pollen as well.

I love bee pollen in our smoothies because this ingredient is full of healthy compounds.

I know some people dont agree with having bee pollen and its kind of a controversial topic but I chose for my family to have it and I believe in its healing properties.

For this smoothie I add in my blender the following ingredients:

  • banana
  • coconut milk
  • peach
  • strawberries
  • bee pollen
  • hemp seeds

This time my baby boy wanted to help. You know how little kids help .. 🙄😐🙄😅 (by doing a mess in the kitchen). Still I let him to put the ingredients in the blender. Lucky me, I was adding the milk just before he asked to help.

He continued with the fruits. Everything was ok, except the part of adding the hemp seeds. They were "added" on the floor, the counter top and eventually in the blender. 😁

I love bee pollen, it is a true super food!
And although I am a little older than 3 years and 7 months, I think I'll try and enjoy your recipes :)

It is indeed! 💛
I use it since forever. And I often give my son propolis tincture as well as a supplement. Actually all the three of us take it as a supplement, not just the little one.
Thanks for commenting and stopping by, it means a lot! Really! 😍
And I'm glad you consider trying the recipes. 😁

I can see that the kids love it 😍💖

Surely they do!
