Working With GOP Gave #obama A ‘Handy Excuse’ Not To Legalize Marijuana, He Writes In New Book

download-11.jpg

Truthfully,” Obama writes in the new book, “just the act of negotiating with Republicans served as a handy excuse to deflect some of the less orthodox ideas that occasionally surfaced from our side of the aisle (‘I’m sorry, Congressman, but legalizing marijuana isn’t the kind of stimulus we’re talking about here…’).”

Obama while having admitted to using cannabis and his youth doesn't appear to be using cannabis currently isn't a fan of cannabis and doesn't know about cannabis at all also it doesn't push for industrial hemp and thinks that cannabis requires treatment like drugs and alcohol

Mexican Senate Passes Bill To Legalize Marijuana Nationwide

#mexico Senate approved a bill to legalize marijuana nationally on Thursday.

Before it can become law it must also be passed by the other body of the country’s Congress, the Chamber of Deputies.

The legislation, which was circulated in draft form earlier this month, would establish a regulated cannabis market in Mexico, allowing adults 18 and older to purchase and possess up to 28 grams of marijuana and cultivate up to six plants for personal use.

Mexico has a strong support for cannabis and they're looking to make it so that people who are home growing can grow up to four plants or maybe more and they're looking to create opportunities for small farmers addressing the equity issue relative to years of drug trafficking and law enforcement the so-called war on drugs

Top EU court: CBD is not a #narcotic, can be freely traded on EU market

The court did, however, provided French authorities with a narrow route for maintaining the ban on CBD, pointing out that that legislation can be justified on one of the grounds of public interest.

In order to do this, the judges said the French national court must “assess available scientific data” on the safety of CBD and prove that the “real risk to public health alleged does not appear to be based on purely hypothetical considerations.”

The judges were asked to weigh in on a years-long dispute over the marketing of a CBD vape product in France, where the law prohibits the production or sale of CBD products derived from the hemp flower or entire plant.

The case centered on the Kanavape electronic cigarette, which contained CBD derived from the entire hemp plant and was lawfully made in the Czech Republic. The case was forwarded to the EU court to determine whether France’s CBD ban violated EU law that protects the free movement of goods between member states.
