We have spent the last month dialing in our solar system. We realized we were losing a good bit of sun energy because our panels were dirty.... so time to get out the bucket and mop. Little elbow grease and we can shine for the shine.

few years ago we had some problems with el. grid and i was thinking to try and get the office off grid. but the prices of panels here were a bit high, and regulations on it were a "bit" not regulated. Maybe i should wait for Musk's solar ruffs :D
You are still in the "lock down" or you can get some costumers?
Elon’s roofs are out now. Though... doubt cheaper. The real cost is the battery storage. For basic stuff... an 800 watt inverter and few panels can handle day time usage.
I recommend starting with a Frankenstein set up. You would be shocked at what people will give away if you call out for unused batteries, panels or inverters... then just mix and match your first system before investing in a more legit set up.

I want to build a shed at the back with a solar roof. The idea would be to have one of those 12volt batteries charging in the shed so I can use that to power some tools. The only issue is the sun. LOL.
Well... that sounds attainable... and you would be surprised how much sun energy is picked up even on a grey day. Something like that could be created with peoples discarded small panels and just re-wired.
