Adverts generate income that can be used to buy and burn Hive.
Reduced supply of Hive and ad buying will increase the price of Hive.
The price of Hive increases attracts more users to participate on the network.
Network effect further increases the price.
Anyone who moans to this past proven concept, please provide real life solutions and not theories.

Not sure it would work in decentralized manner at the outset. I foresee a company being formed or a trust that would have a bank account to accept the ad revenues. Then that entity would make a formal agreement with Hive front-ends to run ads. The agreement would include a share of revenue to be distributed amongst front-ends to assist covering running costs, another small portion kept to maintain the company/trust and the largest proportion going to buy back Hive tokens. For example a company setup in Panama would be tax free on out of country earnings derived from adviews. Just some food for thought.
could even use some of the earnings to buy ads on brave to promote Hive

Agreed, I think we should push this forward amongst the community. Ideally polish up a plan of implementation and strategy beforehand. If you don't want ads then use an ad blocker for free would be my response.
I'll actually turn off my adblocker if they implement their ads properly. Burning Hive fits that criteria as long as it doesn't get out of hand.
Peakd released their new ad platform this week looking dope, you can even advertise in communities I like that, so they can also earn. I know LEO is also working on revamping their front end to do something similar
