I've had this guitar for over a decade. It's a Breedlove Passport Series C250/CMe. It was handcrafted in Korea, received in America, and played for countless hours in multiple states and provinces around the world.
Lugging it through airport security... well worth the effort. I'm so thankful for this gift that keeps on giving. I write music and love to jam, but I also use this guitar to tune my body to more harmonious frequencies. Our "industry standard" of tuning A to 440hz isn't ideal. In fact, it could even be disastrous to our health. For years I've experimented with alternate tunings and listened to healing frequencies over the web. After years of experimentation and careful consideration, I've decided to stick with the alternative - tuning A to 444hz, as opposed to 432hz.
528hz is one of the 9 solfeggio frequencies and has been played for centuries. When tuned to 444hz, the 5th octave of C resonates at 528hz. I also find that notes have greater sustain and music has more of an emotional impact on me when it's tuned to 444hz.
Beyond that, there are many other ways to divide an octave, so sometimes I wonder if the 7-tone scale is even ideal for good health.
