As a curiosity, there are two large unfinished structures in the Mingun spring. And on both sides of the road two huge lions were built, the height of which is 29 m. In the common name they are called 'Chinthe'
Kolejną ciekawostką w świątyni Mingun są dwie wielkie niedokończone budowle. A mianowicie po oby stronach drogi wybudowano dwa wielkie lwy, których wysokość osiągnęła 29 m. W potocznej nazwie nazywały się 'Chinthe".
Unfortunately, the earthquake in 1839 caused the statues to lie in ruins, and only gigantic remains of the building can testify to their former glory. These are only the hind parts of the lions' trunks. You can imagine the scale of these statues just by looking at their fragments.
Niestety trzęsienie ziem w 1839 roku i spowodowało, że posągi legły w gruzach, a o ich dawnej świetności mogą świadczyć jedynie gigantyczne pozostałości budowli. Są to jedynie tylne części tułowia lwów. Można sobie wyobrazić skalę tych posągów spoglądając jedynie ich fragmenty.
Below in the picture you can also see the pupil of the eye of a great lion. Needless to say, the authors had a blast.
Poniżej na zdjęciu widać również źrenicę oka wielkiego lwa. Trzeba przyznać że autorzy mieli rozmach.
