Easy to say when your own endocrine system isn't screwing with your brain. That kind of sanctimonious pompous condescending nonsense is antithetical to everything Christ taught about mercy and care for others. Prosperity theology is heresy.

Depression isn't "feeling a little bit sad," it's like someone turned off a switch in your mind. Would you tell someone with any other medical condition that the fault is theirs for a lack of faith? In this world there will be trouble, and no amount of saying, "take heart," to those who are suffering will help. You add a burden instead of helping them carry it.
I truly hope you never understand this the way I do, and I am thankful that my experiences are minor in this regard.
