I am working on moving to Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia. I am waiting on a truck to be built to finish moving my stuff. Then I need to paint my house and get it up for sale in the Spring. Florida has lots of lakes! That is where the gators live and sun themselves on the banks. :)
We are usually a bit warmer than Michigan in the winter, the average temperature, in December is almost 50 degrees during the day, the high 30s at night. I had a house in the upper peninsula of Michigan and I loved it. Nature was the big draw. Less visible where you are going, even less where I am.
I'm sure you will like it, although the kids may have a harder time getting used to it. Ben will be easier than your daughter. He is still in school, she is out. Most of your friends are made in school.But, you never know.
