I think adult life can sometimes get a bit overwhelming with so many daily responsibilities, commitments and complicated schedules. Of course, as we grow we have more and more things to do and we no longer have as much time available as before in which you can meet your friends: this is largely due to the permanent work that consumes a large part of our day. However, my friends and I try that all this does not keep us away and we always find the way and the moment to get together again to share good moments, as we have done since we were 15 years old ❤️.
Pienso que la vida de adultos a veces puede volverse un poco abrumadora entre tantas responsabilidades diarias, compromisos y horarios complicados. Por supuesto, a medida que vamos creciendo cada vez tenemos más cosas para hacer y ya no tenemos tanto tiempo disponible como antes en el que puedas coincidir con tus amigos: esto se debe en gran medida al trabajo fijo que consume gran parte de nuestro día. Sin embargo, mis amigas y yo intentamos que todo esto no nos aleje y siempre encontramos la maenra y el momento de volver a reunirnos para compartir buenos momentos, como lo hacemos desde que teníamos 15 años ❤️.
Last week something similar had happened: we wanted to meet for a moment and the same old thing happened: "I can't because I work", "I can't because I have to go to the doctor", "I can't because I don't know what". After analyzing all the available day options, we agreed that we could get together for a coffee. But only for a while, because later I had to go to pick up an online purchase, one of my friends had to go get a tattoo and my other friend had a session with her psychologist. Well, seeing each other for a while was worse than nothing so we saw each other anyway.
La semana pasada había pasado algo similar: queríamos reunirnos un momento y lo mismo de siempre ocurrió: "no puedo porque trabajo", "no puedo porque tengo que ir al médico", "no puedo porque no se qué". Después de analizar todas las opciones de días disponibles, coincidimos en que podíamos juntarnos a merendar un rato. Pero solo un rato, porque más tarde yo tenía que ir a retirar una compra online, una de mis amigas tenía que ir a hacerse un tatuaje y mi otra amiga tenía sesión con su psicóloga. Bueno, verse un rato era peor que nada así que nos vimos de todos modos.
We went to a small coffee shop in the center of a city that we have at about three o'clock. Bah, actually it is farther away for me than it is for them but I don't mind going there. Now that we are adults we can access these types of places: when we were less than 20, perhaps we had to settle for the cheap, watered-down coffee from McDonald's 😂.
Fuimos a una pequeña cafetería en el centro de una ciudad que nos queda como punto medio a las tres. Bah, en realidad a mi me queda más lejos que a ellas pero no me molesta ir hasta allí. Ahora que somos adultas podemos acceder a este tipo de lugares: cuando teníamos menos de 20 quizás nos tocaba conformarnos con el café aguado y barato de Mc Donald's 😂.
There they had a great variety of very fattening things with flour and sweets. Everything looked tempting.
Allí tenían gran variedad de cosas muy engordadoras con harina y dulces. Todo se veía tentador.
They had some "croissants" with pastry cream and our famous "dulce de leche". Sometimes I don't know what our life would be like without dulce de leche, I feel sorry for those who don't have access to it in their countries (joke) 😂.
Habían algunos "croissants" con crema pastelera y nuestro famoso "dulce de leche". A veces no sé como sería nuestra vida sin dulce de leche, me compadezco por aquellos que no tienen acceso a él en sus países (broma) 😂.
The only bad thing for me at the time was that this cafe, like all of them today, have the menu to be scanned with a QR code. This is simply a link that directs you to an internet page where the loaded menu is. Why do they make everything so complicated? I still prefer the printed menu, and I'm glad places still have that. Last week I still didn't have my current super cell phone, so I had to read everything from my friend's phone 😂.
Lo único malo para mí en ese momento fue que esta cafetería, como todas hoy en día, tienen el menú para ser escaneado con un código QR. Esto es simplemente un link que te dirige a una página de internet en donde esta el menú cargado. ¿Por qué hacen todo tan complicado? Sigo prefiriendo el menú impreso, y me alegro cuando los lugares aún conservan eso. La semana pasada aún no tenía mi super celular actual, así que tuve que leer todo desde el teléfono de mi amiga 😂.
We ordered a great snack: coffee, cakes, croissants. Our outings have always included food, only it was never as aesthetic as for the photo. The picnics we had when we were younger didn't even look like this 😂.
Ordenamos una gran merienda: café, tortas, croissants. Nuestras salidas desde siempre incluyen comida, solo que nunca era tan estética como para la foto. Los picnics que hacíamos cuando éramos más jóvenes ni siquiera se parecían a esto 😂.

Luckily, we were able to photograph everything, because after a few minutes there was almost nothing. Another thing that has also changed in these 12 years without a doubt is our metabolism: perhaps this used to go unnoticed, but now some extra calories are noticed faster, so we must be careful with this 😂.
Por suerte, pudimos llegar a fotografiar todo, porque a los pocos minutos ya no había casi nada. Otra cosa que también cambió en estos 12 años sin dudas es nuestro metabolismo: quizás esto antes pasaba desapercibido, pero ahora algunas calorías extra se notan más rápido, por lo que debemos ser cuidadosas con esto 😂.

Whenever I see them we have a great time. Despite that we see each other as often as when we went to school together, every time we meet it is as if time had not passed: we always have something new to tell, gossip is never lacking. My relationship with them is one of the longest friendships I have, I'm very happy that it is so and I hope it lasts for many years to come ❤️.
Siempre que me junto con ellas pasamos un gran rato. A pesar de que nos vemos tan seguido como cuando íbamos a la escuela juntas, cada vez que nos reunimos es como si el tiempo no hubiese pasado: siempre tenemos algo nuevo para contar, los chismes nunca faltan. Mi relación con ellas es una de las amistades más largas que tengo, me alegro mucho de que así sea y espero que dure por muchos años más ❤️.

That’s great I’m glad that you still have these types of relationships! They are hard to maintain the older we get. We tend to just talk and hang out with our neighbors since they live..right there lol. Then add kids into the mix!
I love the priorities of the group. Tattoos, psychologists and online stuff lol. Gotta make time between all that good stuff to enjoy some nice cakes and coffee! Looks like you had a bunch of fun here. You should tell them to join hive!
Luckily there is no child among us yet... As for Hive, of course I drill into everyone's head, but no one seems to really care. Maybe they are not interested, I will not worry about that 😂.
