My Market Friday Challenge; An adventure with Fruits

in Market Friday3 years ago

Its another opportunity to participate in todays MarketFriday contest hosted by @dswigle.

Went to the market two days ago and I was able to capture some pictures, hope you will love them?🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

The first is the picture of two fruits, that's the tangerine and the garden egg, well tangerine is one of my favourite fruits so I didn't hesitate buying it when I saw it, it actually kind if cheap since this happens to be it season. As for the garden egg I eat it on rare occasions and I really do enjoy it with groundnut, ever mix it up like that to eat? If no please try it out its really a good combo🤗🤗🤗🤗.

The second picture is that of a plantain, pawpaw, cucumber, orange, and banana(although it far off).
I love my paw paw strong and not too soft, I love it when it makes that hard sound when chewing it😀😀😀.
As for bananas I love taking it with groundnut, wow that's another great combo😛😛😛, hmm its always so yummy, especially if the groundnut is well fried.

As for orange its my appetizer, it just has a way of softening the walls of my stomach if I stayed hungry for too long before I take any harder food substance like the fufu(cassava),

I also take it when I am filled up because it also has a way of making the food eaten to disintegrate faster😀😀.

Another fruits that goes so well with the groundnut is the cucumber, hmm this one eehh is something else, especially if the cucumber is being sliced and leave to chill in the refrigerator, its another great combo entirely😄😄😆😆😆
Now the plantain is one food stuff I love too especially when its being cooked or prepared with goat head, that delicacy is called ishewu in Nigeria, its yummy and I tell you, you will lick your hand if you ever get to taste it especially the one prepared by my mother😜😜😋😋😋😄😄😆.

#MarketFriday is currently on a short break to catch my breath from years of running the challenge. .Thank you so much for taking part in #MarketFriday. You did not disappoint. I failed to say last week that #MarketFriday has been going on for three and a half years and I have missed a couple, but, very few. Normally, if I am on vacation without internet, I try to find some to post, but, like I said, there were a few that missed. As you can see, I didn’t tip this week!!! It has nothing to do with you, but, they changed the way I buy it and post it, so I will be looking into that!!! How can I post and comment without the tip? They all bounced back to me this week, so my apologies!

I hope you are all taking the time to collect new pictures for #MarketFriday while we are taking the time off from the challenge. As I said, feel free to collect some pictures at the markets or other places. I am not going anywhere, posting as usual, and will be back, but, for the challenge to be done right, it takes a fair amount of time. :)

The entire challenge has migrated from a stroll through a market to a cultural extravaganza. ! It really surprised me, but, also delights me to know how much effort people put into it. It pointed out our differences in the beginning, but, then, it really started showing how many things our cultures share. When the day is done, it shows off how human we all are and how we basically all care about our families and others. I love the experience of it all. I appreciate the love and support given to #MarketFriday! Thank you! Truly! Your participation adds a piece of your world, and I have to say, people are interested in is seeing it. This entire challenge has opened up the world to me and so many others. Thank you again for being a part of all this! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Upped and reposted

Wow thanks for this although it was quite long🤗🤗.
Please if I may understand you well enough am I to take a break on the posting of my market view every Friday on the market Friday community?
If yes for how long will this break last?
And for how long will I continue to keep the pictures I take from the market🤔🤔?

I am taking a break from it, although many people will still post to it and I would never let anyone post to it and not acknowledge it. I was afraid that everyone would completely quit, but, my work schedule with the COVID getting worse is getting busier.

So, I don't have time to get any new posts, so I am taking a break from posting it for a little bit, probably through at least November. The pictures can be kept indefinitely or you can post them, whichever you prefer. I keep a folder with potential MarketFriday shots. Some are months old when I use them.

Thanks again for your awesome post!

You are welcome ma
