I Need a Rope Because I Am Drowning In Inflation

This may seem like an unusual item for a Market Friday post. However, when it is mainly all you have bought of interest, we must play the cards we have been dealt lol.

Having some utility rope on hand is never a bad idea. Of course there are a million different uses for such rope, but for me I plan to tie knots in it every so many feet. Yep a whole lot of knots.

My lot I am working on in Virginia is rather steep as it descends towards the water, so this should help us get back up it. Obviously I am not talking about repelling lol. I am certain this rope would not be safe to trust as lifting me up. However I think it will do to give a tug. It must be safer then using the limbs I usually use to pull on lol.

This gives an idea as to the thickness. Of course the ends come nicely melted to keep the braids from fraying and unraveling.

You get 100 feet for 23 bucks or so. Not too shabby and made in the USA as well https://amzn.to/3QmeBns

As always a special thanks to @dswigle for making Market Friday so much fun every week!

Now some the prices I have been seeing while out and about have just been criminal! Wasn't too long ago that a two liter was a buck. Then they raised it to $1.50. Then it jumped to an even two bucks! Well that was really high, but now even Walmart had Dew for $2.25! Is that not just criminally high!?!

I get my beef from a farmer buddy of mine. I pay $2.22 a pound plus butchering. So I don't watch prices on beef as close as I should, but I couldn't help noticing this is 13 bucks a pound! OMG!!!

Wow 35 bucks for some catfish seems a bit much to me. Guess I need to bust out my rod and reel at that point!

Ok now forever and a day Walmart sold this for a buck a loaf. Always was a steal in my book. Now they have raised it 47%. Yikes that is a big increase but still about half of what Kroger charges!

Whoa 4 bucks a dozen for brown eggs! They aint even the free range ones!

However, nearly 4 bucks for plain white that was always way less than a buck, now that seems nuts!!!

That's a good idea !

I did notice the steep pitch of the land going down to the lake at your current home and the new lot. I too understood the safety from flooding that would be good for, but all those steps ! Going down not so bad, coming back up.... now THAT is another story. I might would need a 4-wheeler....LOL !.... a chair lift???

The price gouging is just hideous ! ... and in the past, when some excuse caused many or certain things to go up, when the economy changed for the better, the prices never got back down to what they once were. I feel sorry for the folks that already couldn't afford or could barely afford the essentials.

I read your title and I remembered "A perfect day" movie.
The whole film they were looking for a rope :D

See one must always try to be prepared 😉
With rope, duct tape and a knife a guy can do anything lol 🤣

We can feel the inflation in our country, the Philippines too. I guess it's inevitable and will continue to shoot as years pass by.

Oh ouch. We're all going to have to get better at pinching pennies in this economy!

Maybe we'll all eat a little less, lose a little weight and get a little healthier? (I'm always looking for the bright side!)

The trouble is we’re governed by criminals. It’s bad over the other side of the pond too.

haha, rope me in. i'm not about to noose over my neck but this inflation is really making it tough for many people.
