Hrelić is the biggest Flea Market of Zagreb, known as the place where you can buy almost anything.
This market reminds me of the adult playground, where everyone seems to be looking for their "Waldo", that one special item, hidden in between millions of unnecessary nick-knacks.
Even dough it is located near the city's junkyard named Jakuševac, Hrelić has become very popular in a last couple of decades.
When I was younger, it was likely to come across a brand new leather jacket, and purchase it for a couple of dollars.
Famous paintings are known to be sold as a rubbish on this market.
After many people figured, how much wealth lies on the floors of the city's junkyard, it suddenly become number one destination for collectors, artists and many shop owners.
It is a place adored by tourists, who are coming to experience the new culture, or to purchase a couple of nick knacks to bring back home as authentic souvenir.
The next picture shows the interaction between the toughest guy on the market and a costumer.
This guys prices are overrated. Not being satisfied with any questions or options offered by the costumers, he usually scolds everyone away before ever giving them a chance to buy the desired item.
Every now and then, some pore fellow charges up, and decides to risk his life in order to find out the price of the item he wishes to buy.
The visit to this place definitely lives an strong impression that one man's trash is another man's treasure.
Even though surrounded by millions of different items, I still prefer glancing at people.

Thank you for reading this post,
Have a Wonderful day!
Lots of interesting stuff!
Thank you!☺️
This was such a cool post for #MarketFriday! Thank you! I love going to places that are off the beaten path, someplace that is unusual, or at the very least, different. I am a people watcher, so these are the kinds of places I like to frequent. That man that groused at all his potential customers had a rather sour expression. :) I may have smiled when he did that, but, he probably would have me fleeing the booth!
I admit, there are plenty of things to go through, but, that is half the fun, isn't it?
#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through by their markets, especially local markets and farmers markets and eventually branching out and evolving over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact of what is these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.
