Hello everyone! Today I would like to share some pictures of some interesting plants I found in the supermarket recently. This is my entry to this week's #MarketFriday tag, initiated by @dswigle.
I went on a trip to the AEON Big supermarket and saw some new cactus plants at the plant section. There were many of them and I was pleasantly surprised to see some in different colours as well. I think they make great decorative items at home especially indoors while also needing minimal care to maintain them.
I'm dividing this post into two sections because I found some beautiful regular houseplants as well and couldn't resist including them here. The cactuses remain my favourite though. By the way, I literally just googled and found out that the Latin plural form of cactus is cacti. I learned something new today!
On my way to get groceries XD
This is the plant section of the shopping outlet.
Cactuses
These are some green cactuses. I took a picture from the top. They are small and suitable to be placed on desks to add a pop of green. I have a few of these at home.
These are cactuses that come in a set. I guess after they grow a little more, we need to transfer them into proper containers.
These are cactuses in other colours. They were so unique and eye-catching! I found them in multiple warm colours such as yellow, red and orange. They look so cool right?!
The red is my favourite. It was so beautiful. Here's a closer view of it.
These were bigger cactuses that came in sets like this.
The ones above were the weirdest one of the lot. Unfortunately I don't know how these work or if they even grow. Maybe they are purely for decorative purposes? They were literally just leaves embedded in those pebbles.
Other Houseplants
These are other houseplants that I found, as in those other than cactuses. There were more, but I did not take pictures of all of them. I just took a few of them that I found to be appealing and with a mix of colours.
These were so beautiful with a combo of both red and green as the colours were contrasting each other.
The plant above was so little and cute. I don't know why but it made me think that it is a 'baby plant'.
These are the rest of the plants I saw. As I said, there were many but I didn't have the luxury of time to go into these in more detail. I was in a rush to get groceries and had to leave at the moment. So, this is where my #marketfriday post ends.
Thank you to @dswigle for hosting this challenge and thanks to you for dropping by. I hope that you enjoyed reading my post and have a great day ahead.
