However, the current production cost of biofuel is more expensive than that of petroleum fuel. In particular, the problem of carbon emission through sugar farming will cause environmental problems.
Indeed, this is the exact problem with many alternative sources of energies, at least for now. Producing them is not efficient enough and costs more energy than what could be released afterwards. But hopefully this will get fixed a some point.
