This species, reader friend, can measure from 1.5 m to 2 m in length from head to tail, in the case of males they reach between 35 to 42 cm in snout-cloaca length, the females about 8 to 10 cm, where their extremely long tail and somewhat flattened laterally, its hind legs are much larger than the front, but both have very hard and sharp claws.
Iguanas experience the following as a species, when they shed their skin regularly, this process is known as ecdysis, also another unique thing that makes it unique is that they are also poikilotherms, which can vary their internal temperature in large proportions, according to the environment where they are or natural space.Taxonomy, Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: ChordataClass: Sauropsida, Order: Squamata, Family: Iguanidae, Genus: IguanaSpecies: I. iguana.
Its habitat likes the jungle, forests with good humidity, since it can adapt to the variation of the climate, it loves the abundance of vegetation because it is a herbivorous animal, it feeds specifically on plants, herbs, flowers, fruits and vegetables, and this varies according to the growth of the iguana, on the neck and back it has a high crest, formed by independent spines; another similar series of spines appears under the chin. They are also oviparous, the females deposit around 30 to 60 eggs with a life confidence level between 25% to 28%.
