Hive Twitch waiting stream

As this week I plan to work almost exclusively on HIVE and as I've been wanting to stream on Twitch for a very long time just to relax, my last stream was in September and had a duration of less than an hour and the previous times are insignificant due to lack of time, I thought why not combine the two. Like that HIVE will have a little visibility from outside even if I was persuaded to have no more than 1 or 2 viewers on the whole Live. 🤣

I didn't expect this, much more people than I expected, interaction with people interested in the concept of HIVE so a lot of time to discuss... So my stream lasted 5 hours and 20 minutes and I had a great time even if I didn't progress as much as I would have liked on the dev I was doing.

Thanks to gtg for letting me use its video, I use it a lot as a waiting screen, to start and end the stream.

Hive Auth Client HAC.jpg

Last week I spent a lot of time optimizing my Hive Auth Client HAC package which allows managing connections to HIVE via the future Hive Authentication Services (HAS) and/or le Hive Keychain Browser Extension (KBE).

Functions have been added, answers have been updated and core modifications have been made. The README.md has been updated accordingly as well as the hac-tutorial (without a graphic charter) which helps to learn how the package works for the devs. By the way, I've made this last one available online too.

As mentioned in @stoodkev's post I also started working on the Decentralized ID (DID) of Ceramic Network which runs on IPFS. For more information on DID you can read the W3C Proposed Recommendation.

This would allow HIVE users to add their account to their DID via the use of a HIVE provider (in this case HIVE Keychain) as it is possible to do with an Ethereum address via Metamask.

I made you the short version, a more complete one in a next dedicated post.

Despite a slight memory swap file incident 10 days ago (thanks to the mutual aid that exists between witnesses on HIVE by the way), that is one incident for respectively 465 days and 337 days without interruption which is relatively not bad I find, not much to say.

For several months now my backup server is also a Seed Node HIVE, my witness is now at the 81st place of the top witness (73rd if we take only the active ones) with 228 Hivians having voted for my witness server and I thank them a lot because now I am almost at the balance between hardware cost and block production reward.

I came across this old capture in the last few days and it brought back old memories so I wanted to share it with you.

A long time ago, well OK the capture is only 5 years old LOL, I started in crypto by GPU mining and after a year or two of struggling with my mining software I started to create my own manager, this one was composed of an Electron/nodeJS client to drive the RIG (setup/management GPU, miner, PC) and an Angular WebApp to centralize.

The link with HIVE? The meaning of my username @mintrawa which is only the contraction of MINing TRAding WAllet which was the name I had found for my software and that I abandoned rather quickly to pass on masternoding then HIVE 😉

Sort:

Thanks for this update. You managed to shock me twice. ..

  • 5 hours non stop? With any single break? You are crazy ^^
  • I smiled when I learned where your username is coming from. You don't want to know where mine comes from, believe me :D

5 hours non stop?

That's why gtg's short HIVE video was useful as a waiting screen, to go drink my 20 coffees and smoke my 10 cigarettes 🤣

You don't want to know where mine comes from

How I might be able to forget your post about it? Here forever on the blockchain, it's impossible after reading it 🤣 I liked the "le" and the "la" for madame 😉

I clearly already mentioned it, but I didn't imagine that anyone remembered... :D

PS: better to drink the coffees and smoke the cigarettes than the opposite ;)
