Bhutan and Maldives received the corona vaccine yesterday as promised by the Indian government. Today, the vaccine will go to Bangladesh and Nepal. India will send 20 lakh corona vaccines to Bangladesh.

The vaccine was administered in two countries under the Vaccine Friendship Project. One and a half lakh doses for Bhutan and one lakh doses for Maldives were flown from India yesterday. After giving 20 lakh vaccines to Bangladesh, 10 lakh corona vaccine vaccine will go to Nepal.

During the Corona last year, China, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh held three meetings seeking cooperation. But in the end, it turned out that India was the only country that sent corona vaccines to South Asian countries.

The Prime Minister of Bhutan and other officials arrived at the Bhutanese airport yesterday to welcome the Ticker package. Seeing this cooperation from India, the Prime Minister of Bhutan said that despite India having such a large population, it is already sending vaccines to other countries, which is difficult to understand.

The Bhutanese government initially said it would initially vaccinate 3.35 lakh people. Twice this vaccine will reach them. Besides Bhutan, the President of Maldives also thanked India for sending the vaccine. The Maldivian government has said it wants to vaccinate its total population.

After sending the vaccines to Bangladesh and Nepal today, the vaccines will be sent to Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Mauritius step by step, the Indian government said. However, these countries have not yet received official clearance from the Covishield.
