No leer después de las 9:00 PM...
Y ella salió de allí. Pero había algo diferente. No era la misma. Algo en ella cambió dentro de aquel lugar, en el cual nuestra vida transcurre en un tiempo diferente al usual. Aquel lugar en donde nuestros reflejos y el miedo toman el control de nuestro cuerpo. En donde emociones fuertes fluyen para así instintivamente lograr mantenernos con vida. Dentro de aquel lugar sentimos miedo. Dentro de aquel lugar sentimos que la vida fluye, pero fluye con peligro. No hay nada que nos pueda parar, excepto el final del recorrido. Solo nos queda aferrarnos. Aferrarnos a algo que parece servirnos de soporte. Algunos se aferran a algo estable, otros con mala suerte se quedan sin soporte a mitad de camino. Pero todos llegan al final. Todos, eventualmente, todos, aprenden a disfrutar del camino tras recorrerlo varias veces, encontrando algo nuevo cada vez. Todos salen de allí, de alguna manera u otra. Y todos vuelven a la cima, buscando ese algo más que no pudieron conseguir las veces anteriores.
Y dentro de aquel lugar ella cambió. El miedo la invadió y la oscuridad ocultó las figuras de aquellos misteriosos seres que la asustaban con sonidos y voces extrañas. No poder ver en la oscuridad a veces sirve de escudo ante demonios que no podemos ver porque no estamos preparados para verlos. Eran antiguas versiones de arquetipos humanos que fueron descartadas por Dios y el tiempo, y se negaban a abandonar las oscuridades de aquel túnel, esperando a alimentarse de la energía y el miedo de aquel pasajero inoportuno. Estos seres, que olvidaron otra cosa que no fuera la oscuridad, la atormentaron durante todo el recorrido. Pero ella comprendió que la oscuridad era también su mayor debilidad. Ella la usó en su favor para guiarlos hasta el final del recorrido, usando su miedo como carnada. Ella conocía ya el camino, sabía que la luz al final del túnel sería mortal para estos seres y vital para ella misma. Deseosos de vida en medio de la oscuridad, la siguieron hasta el final, en donde la luz que súbitamente impactó en ellos los fulminó, obteniendo así muerte en medio de la luz. Y así, ella salió feliz de allí, sabiendo que en aquel lugar los futuros viajeros tendrán menos demonios que combatir, y menos obstáculos que afrontar.
Ella salió de allí feliz tras lograr vencer al mal. Pero algo en ella cambió. Ella no olvidará nunca aquellas voces y misteriosas figuras que rondaban en aquella oscuridad, recuerdo de aquellos antiguos seres que alguna vez fuimos y quedaron estancados en el tiempo, atormentando a todo aquel estancado en sus miedos. Ella entendió que la oscuridad sirve de escudo a aquellos que no están preparados para encender la luz. Ella encontró la felicidad, pero no una que se expresa a través de una sonrisa, sino una felicidad calma acompañada de una expresión seria. Allí ella aprendió que se puede salir más rápido de la oscuridad si mantienes a tus demonios atrás. Allí ella aprendió que están allí para asustarnos. Sí, precisamente para asustarnos.
Y así, un día soleado en el parque acuático, ella sale feliz del tobogán y se dirige con una sonrisa de nuevo a la cima para volver a lanzarse y repetir la experiencia de ir a toda velocidad bajando por aquella gran tubería enroscada. Repentinamente, a mitad del recorrido, surge en ella el siguiente pensamiento:

And she got out of there. But there was something different. She was not the same. Something in her changed inside that place, where our life takes place in a different time than usual. That place where our reflexes and fear take control of our body. Where strong emotions flow in order to instinctively keep us alive. Inside that place we feel fear. Inside that place we feel that life flows, but it flows with danger. There is nothing that can stop us, except the end of the journey. All we have left is to hold on. Cling to something that seems to support us. Some cling to something stable, others unluckily run out of support halfway. But everyone gets there in the end. Everyone, eventually, everyone, learns to enjoy the road after traveling it several times, finding something new each time. They all get out of there, one way or another. And they all come back to the top, looking for that something else they couldn't get the previous times.
And inside that place she changed. Fear invaded her and the darkness hid the figures of those mysterious beings that frightened her with strange sounds and voices. Not being able to see in the dark sometimes serves as a shield against demons that we cannot see because we are not prepared to see them. They were ancient versions of human archetypes that were discarded by God and time, and refused to leave the darkness of that tunnel, waiting to feed on the energy and fear of that unwelcome passenger. These beings, who forgot anything other than darkness, tormented her throughout the journey. But she understood that darkness was also her greatest weakness. She used it to her advantage to guide them to the end of the journey, using their fear as bait. She already knew the way, she knew that the light at the end of the tunnel would be deadly for these beings and vital for herself. Desirous of life in the midst of darkness, they followed her to the end, where the light that suddenly struck them fulminated them, thus obtaining death in the midst of light. And so, she left there happily, knowing that in that place future travelers will have fewer demons to fight, and fewer obstacles to face.
She left there happy after defeating evil. But something in her changed. She will never forget those voices and mysterious figures that hovered in that darkness, memories of those ancient beings we once were and remained stuck in time, tormenting everyone stuck in their fears. She understood that darkness serves as a shield for those who are not ready to turn on the light. She found happiness, but not one that is expressed through a smile, but a calm happiness accompanied by a serious expression. There she learned that you can get out of the darkness faster if you keep your demons back. There she learned that they are there to scare us. Yes, precisely to scare us.
And so, one sunny day at the water park, she happily exits the slide and heads with a smile back to the top to take the plunge again and repeat the experience of speeding down that big coiled pipe. Suddenly, halfway down, the following thought occurs to her:
—Have I not already done this before...?

Vivimos en un mundo de total oscuridad, donde las energías son parte de nuestra vida, y el caos no solo es terrenal sino también espiritual, lo que nos deja ante la presencia de fuerzas más grandes que nosotros y nos sumergimos en ese pozo oscuro donde el dolor es tan intenso como un corazón roto y caminamos sin rumbo en busca de esa luz que sabemos que existe dentro de nosotros solo que no queremos ver porque es más sencillo dejarte llevar cuando todo parece haber llegado a su fin.
El final de este relato me exploto la cabeza y sin temor a equivocarme siento que esto es más profundo de lo que parece.

¡Saludos! la idea de este relato surgió luego de visitar un parque acuático con mi familia 😅. Y sí, quizás tienes razón, traté de relacionarlo un poco con la vida, la reencarnación, repetir cosas y aprender en el proceso. Por lo que no solo es un relato de terror sino también está un poco relacionado a la vida👻

Un interesante giro 🤭 Lo seres de la oscuridad no están preparados tampoco para la luz. Y viceversa. Aún en los momentos más sencillos de la vida, esos pensamientos de bien y el mal están presentes.
Me gustó mucho ese final, se presta hasta para una metáfora, me recordó mucho al nacimiento de hecho también tendría sentido con lo de: "no poder ver en la oscuridad sirve de escudo"
