My veterinarian: my best ally! ( ENG/ ESP)

Hello hellooo dear super community of @Hivepets. My canine daughter Caraota Bebé and I went to the vet and we want to tell you how it went!

As you know, every day with my pet is a new story to learn, Caraota is now 1 year and 6 months old, she is mom of two puppies, Sugar and Cherry (formerly called Hopita by her dad, Hope), so we had to take the little ones to their second dose of vaccine, we are very committed to that because we dread that they get sick of something 🥺.

We arrived at the office on time, we were my sisters Antonella and @angelical, now Cherry's moms and @krishnaleiva, a friend of mine who will also be a Schcnauzer mom very soon and wanted to join us to give us a preview of what this experience is like.

The first thing we saw when we arrived was a couple of ladies, apparently known to each other, with their pets named Canela and Cacao, hahaha I don't know if they were ironies of life or what, but just that day all the pets were named after food. We waited our turn and when we passed my baby was very nervous, she was shaking a lot, it must have been because she remembered that we took her to that place to be treated when she got that terrible gastritis that almost took her away from me, after we played with her and somehow we made her feel more confident, she was calmer.

We were shown in with all three pets at once, which was wonderful since we were really a family and we have always liked to be pet friendly.

When the Dr. asked us what was the reason for the consultation, we told him it was the respective control and vaccinations of the three, he evaluated them one by one, he made some observations about their hair, as it gets in their eyes because of its length and causes secretions. He vaccinated them and gave us some indications of care and deworming.

The Dr. called his attention that we did not want to have our pets' tails and ears cut off either, we told him that we considered that an unnecessary evil, and that we believed that it was a form of mutilation! He told us that in some breeds it was necessary, but that in the Schcnauzer it was really more for aesthetics, that it was ok for us 🤗.

Then, a Dr.'s assistant following his orders proceeded to cut her little nails, the truth is that this is something that causes us a lot of fear, since they have a vein inside that if not cut correctly can cause bleeding and pain in our doggy children. She also cut the little hairs that were getting in his eyes. And he proceeded to meticulously clean his exam table with soap solution and alcohol. I must admit that watching her clean that table delighted me, because I know that my baby and her little girls were safe as they perched there to be evaluated.

It is important that we always take our pets to an expert, that is part of the love we have for them, having recommendations from someone who has dedicated their life to the care of animals is priceless, and following them and seeing your pet healthy and happy, even less so!!!
