Part 3 - The beautiful fur
How does my beautiful Leonberger Ella meet the VDH standards? I already told you guys about the "easy adjustable dog". Now its to time to talk about what the VDH describes as "their magnificent coat". A magnificent mane, voluminous pants and lavish feathering on the front and hind legs. Well. Yes. Its brushing. Everyday brushing. Otherwise you get matted spots and a lot of lose hair will just fly around your house. Twice a year it becomes even worse. When they start shedding due to coat change. You have got no idea!!! Its half of a garbage bag a day brushed out lose hair. For three weeks. Not kidding.
But they are so damn beautiful. So damn beautiful. Its all worth it when you meet people admiring her because of that beautiful fur. And when you touch her, pet her, snuggle up to her.
