¡Hola amigos de Hive! espero se encuentren muy bien, hoy les traigo una pequeña actualización de lo que les conté en un post anterior sobre mi perrita "Nieve", para los que están nuevos les refresco un poco, mi perrita tenía un tumor exageradamente grande y había que esterilizarla también para evitar que salieran más y por ello requería atención médica urgente, por ello decidí pedir una ayuda en la plataforma y efectivamente la logré y por esa ésta actualización donde les comentó como fue el proceso pre y post operatorio de mi perrita "Nieve" donde actualmente está recuperándose y sin más que agregar les dejo aquí la historia...

I hope you are very well, today I bring you a small update of what I told you in a previous post about my dog "Snow", for those who are new I refresh them a little, my dog had an exaggeratedly large tumor and had to be sterilized too to prevent more from coming out and that is why I required urgent medical attention, that is why I decided to ask for help on the platform and I did indeed get it and for that this update where I told you how the pre and post-operative process of my dog "Snow" was, where currently He is recovering and without further ado, here is the story...
En primera instancia les cuento que me recomendaron a otro veterinario que es bueno y más económico ya que donde la llevé era una clínica y todo lo que necesitaba la perrita salía en $259 pero primero fui conociendo al doctor, le comenté todo y aceptó atender a mi mascota. En la foto le estaban sacando sangre para una hematología que serviría para evaluar si los valores en su sistema estaban bien para la operación.
In the first instance, I tell you that they recommended me to another veterinarian who is good and cheaper since I took her to a clinic and everything the dog needed was $259, but first I got to know the doctor, I told him everything and he agreed to treat me. pet. Luego de esperar varias horas por el resultado de la hematología y por el diagnóstico del veterinario ya nos habían avisado que nieve estaba programada para la cirugía de extracción del Tumor y esterilización. Ya la perrita estaba en el auto de mi papá y estaba bastante alterada ya que ella no suele salir mucho de casa y es muy enérgica a pesar de la condición que tenía.
After waiting several hours for the hematology results and for the vet's diagnosis, we had already been notified that Nieve was scheduled for surgery to remove the tumor and sterilization. The dog was already in my dad's car and she was quite upset since she doesn't usually leave the house much and is very energetic despite her condition.
Nos dirijimos a la ubicación que me pasó el veterinario y llegamos al sitio, es un pequeño laboratorio veterinario llamado "Laboratorio ALCEF" que incluso tiene peluquería canina muy buena. Es un sitio agradable y atienden muy bien.
We went to the location that the vet gave me and we arrived at the site, it is a small veterinary laboratory called "ALCEF Laboratory" that even has a very good dog groomer. It's a nice place and they serve very well.
Justo cuando llegamos el doctor también estaba llegando así que teníamos que esperar un ratito a que alistaran todo y bueno nieve aún tenía bastante energía y fue algo difícil mantenerla al margen, cuando tomé ésta foto mi mamá tenía agarrada a nieve para que mirara a la cámara jejeje.
Just when we arrived the doctor was also arriving so we had to wait a little while for them to get everything ready and well snow still had a lot of energy and it was difficult to keep her out, when I took this photo my mom had snow holding on to her to look at the camera hahaha.
En verdad que fué difícil mantenerla quieta así sea para una foto jejeje aquí estoy yo como el tío responsable

Luego de esperar unos minutos una de las enfermeras (o doctoras) vino para afeitar a nieve en la zona donde se iba a operar, como pueden ver el tumor tenía un úlcera grande donde ya el tumor se estaba asomando, tuvimos que colocarle un bozal y sujetarla mientras se hacía eso ya que ella no está tan acostumbranda a eso. Incluso le afeitaron levemente las patas para tomar la vía para la anestesia.
After waiting a few minutes one of the nurses (or doctors) came to shave snow in the area where the operation was going to take place, as you can see the tumor had a large ulcer where the tumor was already showing, we had to put a muzzle on it and hold her down while doing that since she's not so used to it. They even lightly shaved his paws to take the line for anesthesia.
Nieve al ser una perrita muy enérgica se le tuvo que aplicar un sedante para poder agarrarle la vía y que estuviera más quieta, en la foto pueden apreciar que está luchando con el sueño pero ya se está rindiendo, momentos después de tomar la foto intentó levantarse pero por los efectos de la droga no pudo moverse bien y la dejamos acostada.
Nieve, being a very energetic dog, had to apply a sedative to her to be able to hold the line and make her more still, in the photo you can see that she is struggling with sleep but she is already giving up, moments after taking the photo she tried to get up but due to the effects of the drug she could not move well and we left her lying down.
En éste punto ya estaba bastante manejable para colocarle la vía, el doctor es el de camisa de cuadros y mientras le colocaban la vía se estaba quedando dormida y bueno ya no hacía falta el bozal y se lo quitaron.
At this point she was already quite manageable to place the line, the doctor is the one in the checkered shirt and while they were placing the line she was falling asleep and well the muzzle was no longer needed and they took it off.
Ya aquí le habían tomado la vía para la anestesia y los medicamentos que necesitaría después del proceso de operación.

Luego de eso el doctor la cargó hasta el quirófano a eso de las 12:37 del medio día, la operación fue el día 04 de agosto, es decir al momento de yo hacer ésta publicación ya la perrita tiene 1 semana de estar operada. Luego nos fuimos al centro con mis padres a comprar unas cosas, después nos fuimos a casa a esperar que me avisaran para ir a buscar a la niña jejeje.
After that, the doctor carried her to the operating room at around 12:37 noon, the operation was on August 04, that is, at the time I made this publication, the dog has already been operated on for 1 week. Then we went to the center with my parents to buy some things, then we went home to wait for them to tell me to go look for the girl lol.
Recuperación Post Operatoria | Post Operative Recovery
Y bueno luego de que el doc nos avisara de que ya todo había salido bien en la operación fuimos a buscar a la perrita, estaba recuperándose en una manta en el suelo y una de las enfermeras le estaba aplicando aire tibio con una secadora de cabello ya que estaba con algo de hipotermia, ésto debido al tiempo que estuvo con la anestesia. En resumen le extrajeron el tumor grande que tenía, la esterilizaron y tenía otro tumor muchísimo más pequeño arriba y también se extrajo.
Ella incluso tenía más pero son muy mínimos y el doctor espera que con la esterilización tenga una respuesta hormonal que haga que los tumores se retraigan.
Y bueno luego de que el doc nos avisara de que ya todo había salido bien en la operación fuimos a buscar a la perrita, estaba recuperándose en una manta en el suelo y una de las enfermeras le estaba aplicando aire tibio con una secadora de cabello ya que estaba con algo de hipotermia, ésto debido al tiempo que estuvo con la anestesia. En resumen le extrajeron el tumor grande que tenía, la esterilizaron y tenía otro tumor muchísimo más pequeño arriba y también se extrajo.
She even had more but they are very minimal and the doctor hopes that with the sterilization she will have a hormonal response that makes the tumors shrink.
El doctor nos ayudó a subir a la perrita al auto donde mi hermano (el padre del año) la estuvo cuidando todo el camino a casa.
The doctor helped us get the dog into the car where my brother (father of the year) was taking care of her all the way home.
Ya estando en casa aún tenía la vía intravenosa y bueno la teníamos acostadita mientras despertaba de la anestesia y la droga que tenía. Le dábamos agua ya que estaba en ayunas y con hambre.
When she was home she still had the intravenous line and well we had her lying down while she woke up from the anesthesia and the drug she had. We gave him water since he was fasting and hungry.
Éste es todo el tratamiento y dieta que le recetaron a ella, digamos que se clasifica en una dieta muy sana con verduras, tomar antibióticos, analgésico y antiinflamatorio, vitamina (miovit) y también la limpieza de la herida con Yodo y una crema antibiótica. Los puntos se les retira a los 16 días así que digamos que falta poco, cuando llegue ese día tomaré más fotos y les informaré de como va ella cuando esté recuperada al 100%.
This is all the treatment and diet that was prescribed for her, let's say that it is classified in a very healthy diet with vegetables, taking antibiotics, analgesic and anti-inflammatory, vitamin (miovit) and also cleaning the wound with Iodine and an antibiotic cream. The stitches are removed after 16 days, so let's say it's not long, when that day comes I'll take more photos and let you know how she's doing when she's 100% recovered.
Y con ésto tenemos todos los recipes con los tratamientos y la dieta que debe seguir para su recuperación. Ha sido algo difícil pero hay que ayudarla a que cumpla con todo.
And with this we have all the recipes with the treatments and the diet that you must follow for your recovery. It has been somewhat difficult but you have to help her to comply with everything.
Cuando mi hermano y yo empezamos a curarla no fui muy fácil tampoco, sobretodo por el intenso dolor que tenía no podía echarse y no quería abrir las patitas pero con el paso de las días se ha recuperado bien y ya camina tranquilamente, incluso ya quiere correr y salir en lo cual estamos pendientes por que se le pueden soltar los puntos como infectar las heridas que tiene. Aproveché de tomarle esa foto justo cuando la iba a curar donde estaba tranquila jejeje.
When my brother and I started to treat her, it wasn't very easy either, especially because of the intense pain she had, she couldn't lie down and didn't want to open her legs, but as the days went by she has recovered well and now walks calmly, she even wants to run and go out in which we are pending because the stitches can be released as well as infect the wounds he has. I took the opportunity to take that photo of her just when I was going to cure her where she was calm lol.
Antes de despedirme quisiera agredecer a todas las personas dentro y fuera de #Hive que han apoyado activamente a mi perrita "Nieve" en éste proceso algo fastidioso y difícil como lo es un proceso médico. De verdad que estaba súper preocupado pero ya estoy más tranquilo de que ella ya está bien y que he hecho algo bien en ésta vida que es cuidar a un animalito y darle la mejor calidad de vida hasta el final.

Hola @daniel2001 los post operatorios en los animales son de muchos cuidado, pero sin ninguna duda que la esterilización es la mejor decisión en perros y gatos.

Cuantos nervios y tensión se viven con un animalito enfermo, me alegro de que Nieves este mejor ya recuperándose y sigue teniendo cuidado porque aunque le quiten los puntos seguirá necesitando reposo por más tiempo.

¡ Que alegría saber que Nieves ya esta en casa en recuperación! esa parte es super importante ella, no debe tocarse esa herida menos mal la fajaron si busca lamerse vas a tener que comprar un isabelino, besos para ella y que este mejor que nunca esa cosita bella.

Me alegra muchísimo que Nieve se haya recuperado, es una niña preciosa y merece todo el apoyo, que bueno que tenga todo tu amor y el de tu familia. De verdad me siento feliz de que hayan podido retirarle el tumor a tiempo, mi Duquesa no tuvo tanta suerte hace años, pero luego de eso comprendí la gran importancia que tiene la esterilización, debido a que evita los desórdenes hormonales y por ende el cáncer.

Gracias a Dios pudieron operar a nieve, debio ser bastante fuerte, ya que ellos son tan sensibles, y requieren un mas cuidados que un humano, ya que no podemos saber como se sienten. Que bueno que recibiste la ayuda para operarla.
