Curiosidades de Patica
En un post anterior les hablé acerca de Patica, una perrita rescatada de la calle y que ahora vive feliz con nosotros, a la vez que nos llena de felicidad con su compañía y actitudes curiosas. Acá les comparto algunas.
In a previous post I told you about Patica, a little dog rescued from the street and who now lives happily with us, while she fills us with happiness with her company and curious attitudes.
Here I share some of them with you.
Es un centinela a carta cabal. Apenas se acerca alguien a la casa comienza a ladrar y nos avisa, es un "timbre perruno".
Por supuesto esto lo hace casi todo perrito, pero lo diferente es que cuando la persona ya se va ella la sigue hasta la mitad de la vereda donde está ubicada nuestra casa como para cerciorarse de que se fue. Luego regresa de lo más tranquila.
She is a full-fledged sentinel. As soon as someone approaches the house he starts barking and warns us, it is a "doggy bell".
Of course this is what almost every dog does, but what is different is that when the person leaves she follows him to the middle of the sidewalk where our house is located as if to make sure he left. Then she comes back very calmly.
Otra cosa que nos asombra es la agilidad que tiene para cruzar la calle cuando nos acompaña a la avenida. Tomando en cuenta la dificultad de su patita, lo hace mejor y con más cautela que algunos perritos. ¡Me conmueve tanto!
Another thing that amazes us is the agility she has to cross the street when she accompanies us to the avenue. Considering the difficulty of her paw, she does it better and more cautiously than some dogs. It touches me so much!
A ella la quieren mucho en la avenida. Los comerciantes que tienen sus ventas allí al verla la saludan "hola Meña" porque así la llamaban antes. Y ella se detiene por un momento como saludando también. Es muy inteligente.
She is very much loved on the avenue. The shopkeepers who have their sales there, when they see her, greet her with "hello Meña" because that's what they used to call her. And she stops for a moment as if to say hello too. She is very intelligent.
Pero una de las cosas que más me llama la atención es ¡que le tiene temor a la lluvia!. Cuando comienza a llover se esconde debajo de la cama de mi hijo. Aunque esto de momento nos cause gracia sabemos que a ella no. Por eso le hablamos para que se sienta segura y transmitirle confianza. Queremos que perciba que todo va a estar bien.
But one of the things that strikes me the most is that she is afraid of the rain! When it starts to rain she hides under my son's bed. Although this is funny to us at the moment, we know it is not funny to her. That's why we talk to her to make her feel safe and give her confidence. We want her to feel that everything is going to be okay.
Sabemos que de alguna manera entiende lo que le decimos porque mueve su colita. Toda una ternura de mascota.
We know that somehow she understands what we say because she wags her little tail. She is a very sweet pet.
