Mi experiencia con mi hijo canino "Rocket" me ha permitido investigar y aprender mucho del cuidado de su pelaje, algo que amerita dedicación y mucho esmero, al leer esta publicación se darán cuenta por que hago esta afirmación.

La raza Schnauzer tiene un pelaje muy particular, además de no soltar pelo como comúnmente suele suceder con otras razas, su pelaje requiere de mucho cuidado.
Sin pretender entrar en explicaciones técnicas que no es la intención de esta publicación, sino mi objetivo es el compartir con ustedes mi experiencia y los resultados obtenidos a traves de los casi 7 años que tiene conmigo mi Rocket.
Es por ello que puedo afirmar, que para cuidar su higiene y salud es necesario realizar mantenimiento constante y disciplinado, conjuntamente con un regimen alimenticio muy sano y complementado con vitaminas como Omega 3 y 6 que son excelente para ello.
The Schnauzer breed has a very particular coat, in addition to not shedding hair as is commonly the case with other breeds, its coat requires a lot of care.
Without intending to go into technical explanations, which is not the intention of this publication, but my goal is to share with you my experience and the results obtained through the almost 7 years that my Rocket has with me.
That is why I can affirm that to take care of your hygiene and health, it is necessary to carry out constant and disciplined maintenance, together with a very healthy diet and supplemented with vitamins such as Omega 3 and 6, which are excellent for this.
El cuidado e higiene del Schnauzer consta de:
1.-Baño completo cada 21 o 30 días.
2.-Mantenimiento diario de su pelaje (cepillado).
3.-Limpieza de la barba, las patas y el faldón cada 10 a 15 días.
4.-Retoques de barba, faldón y patas (corte de pelaje).
En las imágenes mostradas a continuación muestran la realización de la limpieza de la barba, faldón y patas que realizo cada 10 días que es la mitad del lapso completo de su baño, debido a que particularmente en el caso de Rocket lo realizo cada 21 días.
Para esta limpieza le lavo la barba y cara, luego las patas y el fardón, por lo que no requiere mojarlo completamente.
The care and hygiene of the Schnauzer consists of:
1.-Full bath every 21 or 30 days.
2.-Daily maintenance of his coat (brushing).
3.-Cleaning of the beard, legs and skirt every 10 to 15 days.
4.-Retouches of beard, skirt and legs (cut of fur).
The images shown below show the cleaning of the beard, skirt and legs that I do every 10 days, which is half of the entire period of his bathroom, because particularly in the case of Rocket, I do it every 21 days.
For this cleaning, I wash his beard and face, then his legs and his coat, so it doesn't need to be completely wet.
El secado lo realizo con un secador que mantengo siempre a una distancia prudencial y moviéndolo constantemente para no causarle daño en la piel.
El secado de la barba hay que realizarlo con mucho cuidado, debido a que el cepillo que se usa para esta raza tiene las cerdas muy filosas.
Particularmente le coloco los dedos debajo del pelo para que al peinarle la parte del bigote no exista riesgo de lesionarle la boca con las cerdas.
The drying is done with a dryer that I always keep at a safe distance and constantly moving it so as not to cause damage to the skin.
Drying the beard must be done very carefully, because the brush used for this breed has very sharp bristles.
In particular, I put my fingers under his hair so that when combing his mustache there is no risk of injuring his mouth with the bristles.
The procedure is also carried out on the eyebrows with great care, placing the fingers underneath to prevent the bristles from causing any injury.
Para secarle y peinarle las patas y el faldón, particularmente acostumbre a Rocket a acostarlo boca arriba y lo peino con mucho cuidado, procurando que no quede ningún nudo.
