He visto esta iniciativa corriendo por la plataforma, que me parece la comenzó @medicenbecky para enumerar las cualidades de nuestras mascotas (que seguro son más de 10 pero vamos a calmarnos) y por supuesto es el momento perfecto para contar cosas de la Milagros.
Welcome my darlings!
I've seen this initiative running on the platform, which seems to me the started @medicenbecky to list the qualities of our pets (which surely are more than 10 but let's calm down) and of course it is the perfect time to tell things of the Milagros.
Primero música / First music
1- Milagro, Milagros, Catira, Mila, Mili.
Desde que llegó a la casa me gustaba decirle Mila (por alguna razón que desconozco), luego la señora que trabajaba en mi casa, Margely, y yo creímos que era más como un apodo y decidimos que necesitaba un nombre más completo o más largo, por lo que a ella se le ocurrió Milagro; el milagro que esa perra llegara para llenar nuestras vidas puesto que llegó un par de meses después de la muerte de mi padre.
Después yo le agregué la “S” al final porque no había hecho un solo milagro sino varios.
Mila responde a todos sus nombres sin importar que lo acortes, se lo grites o lo susurres. Incluso al que le pusieron en la calle: “Catira”.
Since she arrived at the house I liked to call her Mila (for some reason I don't know), then the lady who worked at my house, Margely, and I thought it was more like a nickname and decided that she needed a more complete or longer name, so she came up with Milagro; the miracle that this dog arrived to fill our lives since she arrived a couple of months after my father's death.
Then I added the "S" at the end because she had made not one miracle but several.
Mila responds to all her names no matter if you shorten it, shout it or whisper it to her. Even the one she was given in the street: "Catira".
2- Juguete favorito | Favorite Toy
Como su cosa favorita es morder todo lo que encuentra, se divierte de sobremanera con los coletos, las alfombras, las bolsas, la basura mal parada, la cama y la goma espuma. Su manera de jugar es mordiendo las manos y brazos, aunque un poco agresiva ella se controla y entiende que no debe morder duro (claro se lo tienes que recordar, porque se emociona).
Y después de 6 años, una amiga (su tía Nohe), le hizo el mejor juguete de todos: Muñongo, hecho a base de una toalla cortada, enrollada y con algunas costuras para reforzar. Este ha sido el mejor juguete del mundo para ella. Apenas tiene 3 semanas y ya casi deja de desarmar la cama.
As her favorite thing to do is to chew on everything she finds, she has a lot of fun with the pigtails, the carpets, the bags, the garbage, the bed and the foam rubber. Her way of playing is biting your hands and arms, although a bit aggressive she controls herself and understands that she must not bite hard (of course you have to remind her, because she gets excited).
And after 6 years, a friend (her aunt Nohe), made her the best toy of all: Muñongo, made from a towel cut, rolled up and with some seams for reinforcement. This has been the best toy in the world for her. She is only 3 weeks old and she almost stopped disassembling the bed.
3- No le gustan los espacios cerrados | She does not like closed spaces.
Milagros puede estar en una habitación contigo tranquilamente pero basta que le cierres la puerta y se le empieza a sentir la ansiedad, comienza a moverse de un lado a otro, le da con las patas a la puerta, te mira como pidiendo piedad. De verdad la pasa muy mal. También se desespera cuando le pones un paño o cobija encima. Y se ofende cuando la dejas encerrada dentro de la casa, cuando la liberas sale corriendo y te ignora por unos minutos.
Ahora quiero enseñarle a quedarse en una casita de perro pero sé que no será una tarea fácil.
Milagros can be in a room with you calmly but it is enough that you close the door and she starts to feel anxiety, she starts to move from one side to the other, she hits the door with her paws, she looks at you as if asking for pity. He really has a hard time. She also gets desperate when you put a cloth or blanket over her. And she gets offended when you leave her locked inside the house, when you release her she runs out and ignores you for a few minutes.
Now I want to teach her to stay in a doghouse but I know it won't be an easy task.
4- Antes de la casa, vivía en un mercado | Before the house, she lived in a market.
Cerca de mi casa y dos veces a la semana abrían un mercado de frutas, verduras y charcutería, como un mercado ambulante y resulta que ese era el lugar de Milagros antes de vivir en una casa como perro doméstico. Ahí su nombre era Catira, las personas jugaban con ella, supongo que ahí aprendió a tratar con humanos y adoptó un buen comportamiento logrando que la gente le diera comida. Ella siempre estuvo en buena forma gracias a ese mercado.
Near my house and twice a week they opened a fruit, vegetable and deli market, like a street market and it turns out that was Milagros' place before living in a house as a domestic dog. There her name was Catira, people played with her, I guess that is where she learned to deal with humans and adopted a good behavior getting people to give her food. She was always in good shape thanks to that market.
5- Hace piruetas por comida | Spins for food
La hora de la comida es su favorita, obviamente, siempre es muy enérgica pero en este momento mientras buscas la comida se pone más loca. Algo super gracioso de ver es cómo espera la comida: salta (altísimo), da vueltas, si le lanzas comida 9/10 las atrapa en el aire.
Yo supongo que esto lo hacía para llamar la atención cuando estaba en el mercado para que la gente le diera más comida.
Meal time is her favorite time, obviously, she is always very energetic but at this time while you are looking for the food she gets crazier. Something super funny to see is how she waits for the food: she jumps (very high), spins around, if you throw food at her 9/10 she catches it in the air.
I guess she did this to get attention when he was at the market so people would give her more food.
6- La hora del baño | Bath time
Milagros odia bañarse, no odia el agua porque sale a mojarse en la lluvia pero se nota que no le gusta que se la echen encima. Para hacerlo debo amarrarla con la correa y sostenerla durante todo el proceso porque sino se sale del collar (no importa que tan apretado esté) y sale corriendo a la tierra. Suele quedarse quieta un rato pero ya a la mitad se desespera.
Secarla es otro proceso que también tengo que hacerlo mientras está amarrada y quedarme con ella mientras está al sol. Cuando la suelto sale corriendo ofendida y así la llames con un puño de perrarina en la mano no se te acerca.
Milagros hates bathing, she doesn't hate water because she goes out to get wet in the rain but you can tell she doesn't like to be poured on. To do it I have to leash her and hold her during the whole process because otherwise she gets out of the collar (no matter how tight it is) and runs out to the ground. She usually stays still for a while but halfway through she gets desperate.
Drying her is another process that I also have to do while she is tied up and stay with her while she is in the sun. When I release her she runs away offended and even if you call her with a fistful of perrarina in your hand she does not come near you.
7- Aprende cosas nuevas | She learns new things
Cuando llegó yo no tuve que enseñarle nada, tampoco vi la necesidad. Entendió rápidamente dónde hacer sus necesidades y los límites, que todos se los enseñó mi otra mascota, Baqueta.
Sin embargo si te pones un rato con ella aprende nuevos trucos y sabe cómo comportarse con cada persona, es decir, si está conmigo sabe que puede jugar mordiéndome y saltarme encima porque así jugamos pero si está con mi novio sabe que no le gusta que se le lancen encima así que solo se acerca a pedir cariño; y cuando está con @aurauramagic se lanza al piso a esperar cariño.
When she arrived I didn't have to teach her anything, I didn't see the need either. She quickly understood where to do her things and the limits, which were all taught to her by my other pet, Baqueta.
However if you spend some time with her she learns new tricks and knows how to behave with each person, that is, if she is with me she knows she can play biting me and jumping on me because that's how we play but if she is with my boyfriend she knows he doesn't like to be jumped on so she only comes to ask for affection; and when she is with @aurauramagic she throws herself on the floor to wait for affection.
8- Respeta tu espacio de trabajo | She respect your workspace.
Milagros sabe cuando estamos ocupados o haciendo alguna actividad como: ensayar, estudiar, limpiar, entre otros. Cuando pasa esto ella se aleja o se acuesta cerca sin molestar a nadie y cuando siente una pausa se acerca a ver si ya puede jugar y pedir cariño. Solo está el detalle de que ladra si pasa alguien frente a la casa, quedarse callada no es su fuerte.
Milagros knows when we are busy or doing some activity such as: rehearsing, studying, cleaning, among others. When this happens she moves away or lies down nearby without bothering anyone and when she feels a pause she comes closer to see if she can play and ask for affection. There is only the detail that she barks if someone passes in front of the house, being quiet is not her best.
9- Escapista | Scape artist
Desde el día 1 en la casa busca la manera de escaparse, siempre regresa y se queda esperando en la calle hasta que volvamos (si no estamos) o llega toda feliz como diciendo: Yei! Salí, salí. Y es que ni siquiera puede ver la puerta abierta 2 segundos porque sale corriendo, debemos estar siempre muy pendientes al entrar o salir.
Es capaz de hacerse daño al escaparse pero parece no importarle, es parte de la emoción.
From day 1 in the house she looks for a way to escape, she always comes back and waits in the street until we come back (if we are not there) or she arrives all happy as if saying: >Yei! I went out, I went out. She can't even see the door open for 2 seconds because she runs away, we must always be very careful when entering or leaving.
She is capable of hurting herself when running away but she doesn't seem to care, it's part of the excitement.
10- Es muy inteligente | She es very smart
Yo estoy segura de que Milagros es una perra calculadora, especialista en física para poder tener esa habilidad para escaparse. Además de eso tiene una excelente intuición, sabe cuando las cosas están bien o están mal con sus humanos. Ella sabe cuando hace algo malo y sabe el momento en que va a ser el regaño y ya prepara su acto de "Perdóname, solo soy una perrita que estaba aburrida".
I am sure that Milagros is a calculating dog, a specialist in physics to be able to have that ability to escape. Besides that she has excellent intuition, she knows when things are right or wrong with her humans. She knows when she does something wrong and knows the moment when she is going to be scolded and she already prepares her "I'm sorry, I'm just a little dog who was bored" act.
Bonus
11- Es muy cariñosa y enérgica
Milagros en general es muy cariñosa, deja que las personas se le acerquen y la acaricien aunque parezca ser una fiera cuando estás fuera de la casa. Si ve que su humano le abre la puerta pasa a modo inspección y luego a amor total.
A veces su forma de dar amor es un poco agresiva porque le gusta montarse encima, morder y tiene burda de fuerza. Siempre al principio va con el amor 100% pero luego es que va aprendiendo cómo juegan los demás.
Cuando estás sentado se te acerca y pide cariño. Le gusta jugar corriendo y saltando.
Con otros perros si es algo agresiva y no le gusta que la molesten. Esto es solo con otros humanos.
Milagros in general is very affectionate, she lets people come up to her and pet her even though she seems to be a fierce animal when you are out of the house. If she sees that her human opens the door she goes into inspection mode and then into total love.
Sometimes her way of giving love is a little aggressive because she likes to jump on you, bite and she has a lot of strength. He always goes with 100% love in the beginning but then he learns how others play.
When you are sitting she comes up to you and asks for affection. She likes to play running and jumping.
With other dogs if she is a little aggressive and does not like to be bothered. This is only with other humans.
