Hola mis queridos amigos de hive, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes parte de mi experiencia con mi perro en el año 2016.

Un día mi mascota Manchas, estaba triste y apagado, cuando lo vi así me acerqué a él para ver que le estaba pasando y cuando lo toqué se quejó de dolor, quise tomarlo en mis brazos pero me di cuenta que sus patas traseras no les respondían, las arrastraba por completo, me asusté mucho y de inmediato llamé a mi papá para llevarlo al veterinario, cuando llegó allí me indicaron realizar varias pruebas de laboratorio y una radiografía de cadera.
One day my pet Manchas, was sad and off, when I saw him like this I approached him to see what was happening to him and when I touched him he complained of pain, I wanted to take him in my arms but I realized that his back legs did not respond to them , I was dragging them completely, I was very scared and immediately called my dad to take him to the vet, when he got there they told me to perform several laboratory tests and a hip X-ray.
Mientras esperábamos los resultados, me sentí muy triste y angustiada porque manchas no podía caminar.
While we waited for the results, I felt very sad and distressed because Spot couldn't walk.
Cuando los resultados llegaron el diagnóstico del Veterinario fue "Artrosis Avanzada" una enfermedad articular degenerativa que implica el deterioro progresivo y permanente del cartílago que rodea las articulaciones, acompañado por una hipertrofia del hueso en los márgenes y cambios en la membrana sinovial. Estos cartílagos, cuando el perro es joven, gozan de la flexibilidad, grosura, lubricante y nutrientes necesarios para cumplir una función amortiguadora y protectora en el esqueleto canino. No obstante, paulatinamente, cada cartílago va perdiendo estas propiedades, provocando un desgaste en los mismos y el posterior roce que surge entre los huesos.
When the results arrived, the Veterinarian's diagnosis was "Advanced Osteoarthritis" a degenerative joint disease that involves progressive and permanent deterioration of the cartilage that surrounds the joints, accompanied by hypertrophy of the bone at the margins and changes in the synovial membrane. These cartilages, when the dog is young, enjoy the flexibility, thickness, lubricant and nutrients necessary to fulfill a cushioning and protective function in the canine skeleton. However, gradually, each cartilage loses these properties, causing wear and tear on them and the subsequent friction that arises between the bones.
El dolor en la zona de la articulación, la reducción del movimiento, la atrofia muscular y las deformaciones óseas,r igidez, cojera y dolor son los síntomas que condicionan la conducta del can .Una de las zonas más propensas y comúnes a sufrir esta enfermedad es la cadera.
Pain in the joint area, reduced movement, muscle atrophy and bone deformations, stiffness, lameness and pain are the symptoms that condition the behavior of the dog. One of the most prone and common areas to suffer from this disease is the hip.
El Médico Veterinario dijo que mi perro no iba a caminar más y que solo podía gatear, también estableció un tratamiento específico para aliviar el dolor y la inflamación con antiinflamatorios, por vía oral o por inyección y también esteroides para que pudiera tener un día a día lo más normal posible. Pero lamentablemente, no acabaría con la enfermedad, ya que esta patología surge como consecuencia del envejecimiento del animal, por tanto, no tiene cura. Sin embargo, en ese momento no pude entender, mi perro era joven.
The Veterinary Doctor said that my dog was not going to walk anymore and that he could only crawl, he also established a specific treatment to relieve pain and inflammation with anti-inflammatories, orally or by injection and also steroids so that he could have a day to day as normal as possible. But unfortunately, it would not end the disease, since this pathology arises as a consequence of the aging of the animal, therefore, it has no cure. However, at that time I couldn't understand, my dog was young.
Al escuchar todo lo que dijo el médico, me sentí aún más abrumado y devastado. Pasaron los días y Manchas se negaba a jugar, y saltar, solo se quedaba dormido, ya no encontraba la manera de animarlo, pero esto no me detuvo, decidí aferrarme a la Fé y esperar que algún día volvería a caminar. Hoy Manchas sigue con nosotros, está sano y caminando con 10 años de edad porque LOS MILAGROS SI EXISTEN!
Hearing everything the doctor said made me even more overwhelmed and devastated. Days passed and Manchas refused to play, and jump, he just fell asleep, I could no longer find a way to encourage him, but this did not stop me, I decided to cling to Faith and hope that one day I would walk again. Today Manchas is still with us, he is healthy and walking with 10 years of age because MIRACLES DO EXIST!
Las enfermedades y los problemas de salud en los canes son inevitables por eso mi consejo para todos es que cuiden siempre de sus mascotas, sean capaz de ofrecele la mejor calidad de vida posible.
Diseases and health problems in dogs are inevitable, so my advice to everyone is to always take care of your pets, be able to offer them the best possible quality of life.
