Hola queridos amigos de Hive Pets, sé que algunos estaban pendientes de saber que como le fue a mi perrita Robin en su operación, después de publicar sus exámenes preparatorios, pero por motivos personales no había podido hablarles sobre eso. Pero aquí les cuento todo lo que sucedió.
El día de la esterilización llegó y fue hora de llevar a Robin al veterinario. Tuve que cargarla por todo el camino para que no llegara toda agotada, sobre todo porque iba en ayuno, y en taxi ella se marea y vomita, así que camine con ella en los brazos como por media hora. Confieso que llevaba muchos nervios de como saldría todo.
Cuando llegamos al consultorio veterinario me tranquilizo saber que era día de esterilización, así que no atenderían otra cosa que no fuese eso, tanto el doctor como sus asistentes se centrarían en la atención que requería la operación.
Para dejar a Robin me dieron para llenar un documento donde yo era consiente del tipo de operación, de las consecuencias, posibles peligros y efectos de la anestesia, a demás quedaba de acuerdo en que si la perrita moría en la operación, el doctor quedaba libre de cargos.

Me asusté mucho al leer eso, pero me puse a meditar que el doctor tiene experiencia y que si fuese mal doctor no le llevarán tantos perritos, así que con ese susto firme el documento.
No sé por qué me imaginé que yo estaría ahí en todo el proceso, pero caí en cuenta cuando la secretaria me dijo que me llamaría a las 11 am para decirme como salió la cirugía y a qué hora podía pasar por ella, solo debía dejarle una cobija.
Me fui a mi casa muy asustada pidiéndole a mi Dios que todo saliera bien, pero era inevitable que el reloj me diera ansiedad. Me puse a escribir y leer algunas publicaciones en Hive para distraerme. Pronto se hicieron las 11 y luego las 12 y nada que me llamaban, ahí si me comencé a preocupar.
La pequeña herida.
Por fin me llamaron a las 2 de la tarde para decirme que me traerían a Robin a la casa y que luego me llamarían para darme todas las indicaciones del tratamiento, y así fue, mi esposo y yo bajamos a buscar a Robin a la portería, todo había salido bien.
Aún venía dormida por la anestesia, la acostamos en la cama y se despertó con sus ojos bien abiertos para vernos y luego se volvió a dormir. Ese día ya tenía todo su tratamiento, tuvo que comer solo sopa y al día siguiente comenzaría con su tratamiento y comida normal.

Los cuidados más fuertes eran los primeros cuatro días, donde debía evitar cualquier movimiento brusco. De noche poco dormía por miedo a lastimarla, la primera semana fue la reina de la casa.
Si pasé algunos sustos, por ejemplo, se bajó de la cama sin darnos cuenta y comenzó a llorar mucho, nos asustamos bastante pero logramos tranquilizarla. Los cuatro primeros días fue triste verla toda apagadita, sobre todo porque como ustedes ya saben, Robin es una perrita muy activa y juguetona.
Valió la pena cumplirle todo su tratamiento como es debido, ya que la recuperación comenzó a verse muy pronto y en los días siguientes comenzó a verse nuevamente la alegría que la caracteriza. Hasta comenzó a hacer travesuras con el isabelino jeje, chocaba con todo jeje.
Me sentí muy feliz cuando en la consulta de control el doctor me dijo que estaba muy bien, y que de todos los perritos que esterilizaron ese día Robin era la más sana, que ni siquiera parecía que la hubiesen operado. Sentí un alivio, pero todo fue gracias al amor y al cuidado que le dimos.
Por otro lado, quede satisfecha con el servicio en la veterinaria. Me gustó que la incisión fue muy pequeña y en una zona cómoda para ella, ya casi no se le nota.
Todo en la operación y recuperación de mi pequeña Robin salió bien, estoy muy contenta por el esfuerzo que se hizo y sobre todo porque ella se encuentre bien y feliz. Ya volvimos a la normalidad y Robin volvió a ser la traviesa de la casa.

Sterilization and Recovery of Robin
Hello dear friends of Hive Pets, I know that some of you were waiting to know how my dog Robin did in her operation, after publishing her preparatory exams, but for personal reasons I had not been able to tell you about it. But here I tell you everything that happened.
The day of the spay came and it was time to take Robin to the vet. I had to carry her all the way so she wouldn't arrive exhausted, especially because she was fasting, and in a cab she gets dizzy and vomits, so I walked with her in my arms for about half an hour. I confess that I was very nervous about how everything would turn out.
When we arrived at the veterinarian's office I was reassured to know that it was spay day, so they would not attend to anything else, both the doctor and his assistants would focus on the attention required for the operation.
To leave Robin I was given a document to fill out where I was aware of the type of operation, the consequences, possible dangers and effects of anesthesia, and I also agreed that if the dog died during the operation, the doctor would be free of charge.

I was very scared when I read that, but I started to think that the doctor has experience and that if he was a bad doctor they would not take so many puppies, so with that scare I signed the document.
I don't know why I imagined that I would be there during the whole process, but I realized when the secretary told me that she would call me at 11 am to tell me how the surgery went and at what time I could pick her up, I just had to leave her a blanket.
I went home very scared praying to my God that everything would go well, but it was inevitable that the clock made me anxious. I started writing and reading some posts on Hive to distract myself. Soon it was 11 o'clock and then 12 o'clock and nothing to call me, that's when I started to worry.

Finally they called me at 2 o'clock in the afternoon to tell me that they would bring Robin to the house and that they would call me later to give me all the instructions for the treatment, and so it was, my husband and I went down to pick Robin up at the gate, everything had gone well.
She was still asleep from the anesthesia, we put her to bed and she woke up with her eyes wide open to see us and then she went back to sleep. That day she had all her treatment, she had to eat only soup and the next day she would start with her treatment and normal food.

The strongest care was the first four days, where I had to avoid any sudden movement. At night I didn't sleep much for fear of hurting her, the first week she was the queen of the house.
I did have some scares, for example, she got out of bed without realizing it and started crying a lot, we were very scared but we managed to calm her down. The first four days it was sad to see her all dull, especially because as you know, Robin is a very active and playful dog.
It was worth it to fulfill all her treatment as it is due, since the recovery began to be seen very soon and in the following days she began to see again the joy that characterizes her. She even started to get into mischief with the isabelino hehe, she bumped into everything hehe.
I was very happy when the doctor told me that she was very well, and that of all the dogs that were sterilized that day Robin was the healthiest, she didn't even look like she had been operated on. I felt a relief, but it was all thanks to the love and care we gave her.
On the other hand, I was satisfied with the service at the veterinarian. I liked that the incision was very small and in a comfortable area for her, it is almost not noticeable.
Everything in the operation and recovery of my little Robin went well, I am very happy for the effort that was made and especially because she is well and happy. We are back to normal and Robin is back to being the naughty one in the house.

La OVH Lateral es una gran ventaja ya que hay menos riesgos de complicaciones y la incisión es mínima, normalmente recomiendo hacer una faja postoperatoria con una franela vieja (limpia) y así evitar que se dé en el sitio de la incisión, a veces el cono puede ser muy molesto.
Felicidades por la decisión de esterilizar. 🥳
La verdad es una buena recomendación, no pensé en eso en el momento, pero si me preocupaba que se lastimara hasta con el mismo cono. Lo tomaré en cuenta en futuras ocasiones con otras mascotas.

Que linda Robin, me alegra que todo saliera muy bien con su intervención amiga, este tipo de procedimientos son necesarios en nuestras mascotas para que vivan más añitos mejor. El gif quedó lindo.
