Gracias a la propuesta de OCD vengo a hablarles del amor de mi vida, mi perrita Laika. Su nombre viene del primer ser que viajó al espacio, una perrita que llevaba ese nombre y desafortunadamente murió en el viaje, en honor a ella decidí ponerle ese nombre ya que el mismo siempre me pareció muy hermoso y desde el primer momento decidí que sería el nombre que le colocaría a mi perro si tuviera una hembra.
Hello hivers! I hope everyone is doing well today.
Thanks to OCD's proposal I'm here to tell you about the love of my life, my dog Laika. Her name comes from the first being that traveled to space, a dog that had that name and unfortunately died on the trip, in her honor I decided to give her that name because I always found it very beautiful and from the first moment I decided that it would be the name I would give to my dog if I had a female.
Laika lleva con nosotros desde el 2014, es una perrita muy juguetona y divertida cuando quiere y deja de dormir (es lo que más adora, no te metas con su cama) y ama que le hagan cariño en su barriga y bajo el cuello (ese es su lugar favorito).
Laika has been with us since 2014, she is a very playful and funny little dog when she wants and stops sleeping (that's what she loves the most, don't mess with her bed) and also she loves to be cuddled on her belly and under her neck (that's her favorite spot).
Es muy sobreprotectora con nosotros, ahí donde la ven tan chiquita su ladrido es como si estuvieras escuchando a Cerbero, muchas visitas cuando la conocen les asusta bastante eso, pero una vez conviven con ella, y ella entiende que son amigos, no los deja en paz y quiere que jueguen con ella a cada rato lanzándole su pelota favorita hasta que se van de la casa (si, está un poco fea pero ella la ama).
She is very overprotective with us, there where you see her so small her bark is like you were listening to Cerberus, many visitors when they meet her are quite scared of that, but once they know her, and she understands that they're friends, she doesn't leave them alone and wants them to play with her all the time throwing her favorite ball until they leave the house (yes, it's a little ugly but she loves it).
Son muchos los momentos divertidos que he pasado con ella, como yo digo es mi princesa y la niña de la casa, pero algo que me ha divertido mucho de ella es que de pequeña (más pequeña jajaja) le encantaba agarrar los potes de agua vacíos, los grandes de 5 litros, y corría por toda la casa haciendo mucho ruido agarrándolo por el asa, lo amaba, desde ese momento vi que a ella le gustaba lo simple, se divertía con lo que fuera.
There are many funny moments I've spent with her, as I say she is my princess and the girl of the house, but something that has amused me a lot about her is that as a little puppy (yeah, smaller hahaha) she loved to grab the empty water pots, the big 5 liter ones, and ran around the house making a lot of noise grabbing it by the handle, she loved it, and from that moment I saw that she liked the simple things, she had fun with whatever it was.
Otra anécdota que amo de ella es que cuando la adoptamos siendo un cachorro se despertaba de madrugada, a eso de las 3am, y tenía que ir yo a verla para que pudiera dormir, me sentaba en el piso junto a su cama y ella se paraba, iba directo a mi, se montaba en mis piernas, se acostaba sobre ellas y se quedaba dormida, y tiempo después de eso tenía que moverla con muchísimo cuidado para no despertarla y que pudiera seguir durmiendo en su cama. Aquí les dejaré una foto de uno de esos momentos.
Another anecdote I love about her is that when we adopted her as a puppy she would wake up in the early morning, around 3am, and I had to go to her so she could sleep, I would sit on the floor next to her bed and she would stand up, go straight to me, get on my legs, lay on them and fall asleep, and some time after that I had to move her very carefully so I wouldn't wake her up and so she could continue sleeping in her bed. Here is a picture of one of those moments.
Laika ama comer de todo, honestamente, pero si puedo asegurar algo es que su fruta favorita es el cambur/banana, le encanta, igual que la pasta, es el único alimento que no se cansa de comer.
Laika loves to eat everything, honestly, but if I can assure you something is that her favorite fruit is the banana, she loves it, as well as pasta, it's the only food she can't get enough of.
