Finally a buffet with healthy food and a variety of choices at a budget economy.

계철밥상 offers just that and more. This place is located just above Seoul Station and offers healthy eating choices for those on a budget. The lunch menu starts at 16,000 won around 15 dollors for adult and 10 dollars for child.

My son and I had a feast yesterday. Some of the plates I enjoyed were the green beans and corn, the pork barbeque and roasted eels.

I filled up my plate and took a bowl of beef bone soup with vegetables. Everything was fresh and tasted garden grown including the bibimbap corner.

My son enjoyed the deserts and I was surprised he still had room for the stuff he was eating.

After the meal you can enjoy an expesso or Americano or just a nice cup of tea. On the way out they sell some of the rice snacks they had at the buffet and all kinds of fresh food products so you can take it home.

A buffet experience during the pandemic may seem risky but they check eacustomer's name and phone number and temperature at the door for record. We are not allowed to touch the food in the buffet without gloves and a mask. But of course at our table we can take off our mask to eat.

After eating we walked over Seoul Station in a place that used to be an overpass. It was now turned into a pedestrian park.

I'm making the best of the vacation time I have even though it is rainy we managed to dodge a few clouds.

Now when are we going to have time to do vacation homework? The kids said they will do it the day before school starts.

Sort:

I've been to one of those places before. That looks like where TGI Friday used to be by Seoul Yeok. There used to be a buffet called 7springs that was healthy too. I just avoid buffets these days, I can never eat enough to make it worth my while. Except for chamchee. I may actually go to one tonight.

I normally wouldn't eat at a buffet but my boy was with me and starving. We decided on this place because it was a weekday and lunch time. I liked the way they gave gloves to all the costumers.

It is above where Bennigans used to be and I think it was TGIF at one time.

There was no sushi and very little seafood. I liked the 장어 eel.

Whatever you decided, I hoped you enjoyed your evening. It looks like no heavy rain tonight.
