These delegations will last as long as the contest goes on and as long as you keep sharing links on Reddit; they can stack, previous winners can increase their delegations.
New Host of the Contest
@cryptoreforma, @blkchn, @theworldaroundme, @logen9f, and all the rest: suddenly, I host this contest at @acidyo's request. However, @acidyo will keep being present here both as a participant (I hope) and as a distributor of delegations. It means not much has changed. We also had a talk about formats of shares that resulted in a change of the rules.
Updated Rules: Valid Formats
1. Sharing a Link ✅
The standard sharing of a link is valid.
2. Sharing Image Gallery with the Link Below Each Image ✅
If someone doesn't know how to do that: Create Post -> Image & Video -> then upload 2 or more Images -> choose Edit All -> Add Links
This is where you can find "Edit All":
This is an example of such share:
3. Sharing Images with Link Invisible in Preview ❌
Reddit impressions correctly show how many people have seen the link only if the link is visible in the preview. If the link is hidden from the preview, Reddit impressions show only how many people have seen the content, not the link. That makes impressions of such a share irrelevant to our contest.
4. Sharing Text ✅
Valid only in cases when the link is visible in the preview for the same reason I described above.
5. Further Changes to the Rules
This contest exists to get as many people on web2 as possible to know about Hive. If there are obstacles to this goal, the contest rules will be changed to remove those obstacles, including banning dubious subreddits and users from the contest.
Results of Contest #4
First of all, thanks to everyone who shared their results, and hope to see your new shares, guys, in the comment section.
#1 @theworldaroundme 33 + 2.9 + 3 + 13 + 3.5 = 55.4 -> 500 HP delegation
#2 @x-rain 12 + 2 + 1.2 + 1.2 + 0.9 = 17.3 -> 300 HP delegation
#3 @acidyo 13 + 0.6 = 13.6 -> 200 HP delegation
#4 @blkchn 2.1 + 2.4 + 5 + 1.3 + 2 = 12.8 -> 100 HP delegation
#5 @cryptoreforma 1.2 + 0.8 + 1.1 + 0.6 + 0.2 = 3.9 -> 50 HP delegation
Total impressions leaderboard after 4 contests:
Rank | User | Contests | Impressions | Total Delegation |
---|---|---|---|---|

Thank you for posting your shares! Great results + good to see that Hive reaches Reddit's German-speaking audience due to your efforts.
Thanks for helping and taking over the continuation of this!
I'm sending out the updated delegation rewards now!
Glad to be part of this, thank you for this opportunity!
I will try to attract more people to the contest in the meantime.
Thank you and to @x-rain for the recommendation.

Thank you for joining the contest, @cryptoreforma! I am hosting it for the first time so I worried a bit about how things would go. I'll sum it up tonight.
👍
One thing, though, is that not all Reddit groups allow hive links; I have been communicating with the moderator in the food group this morning. They claim that I violated the rules because of the link, it is a self-promotion, and I was banned from a food group.
Maybe we can warn participants to avoid certain groups to prevent disappointment. I hope we can also share other places to push the hive. Thank you for the opportunity; I know it is hard work for you guys, too.
Yup. Every subreddit has a list of rules on the right. Some don't want links. Some even say you can post a link but you should be a creator of this content. Or r/Vietnam (1.2M) says "Travel blogs/vlogs are generally discouraged" so you can understand nothing from this. Some mods ask to engage in the sub and only then you are allowed to share your links. Etc. Much depends on how good the shared Hive article is for a particular sub. Some subs openly say "If you self-promote and we see only shared links on your account, we'll ban you". So... Read the rules when you join a new subreddit.
That's why we collect Hive-friendly subs to make it easier for new people to join the program: here and look at the top comment below, some more subs but still not included in the table.
You should revise how you share links - look at the rules above.
This is a preview of your share, no link is visible. Your previous shares were counted for contest #4 since nobody told you and you are new on Reddit.
Thank you for being understanding about me being new to this. I had assumed there was an agreement between Reddit and RedditPosh regarding link sharing, so I went ahead and shared without realizing it could be an issue for others.
Regarding the share you mentioned, someone kindly made me aware that there was no link, so I deleted it and reposted it with the link. I truly appreciate that you’ve included it in the contest despite that.
There’s so much online I still need to understand, and I’m grateful for people like you who guide me along the way. I’ll also check out the link to the subreddit you mentioned—thank you for sharing it!
Just make sure that a Hive link you have shared is visible from your account's main page: www.reddit.com/user/Express_Classic_1569/ This means a link is generally visible from the preview so viewers on subreddits will see your link from the preview too.
Sure. The whole Redditposh is in the process of creation here and now, and we all test and learn. We are early in this program and the contest so we are getting very generous rewards as pioneers along with experiencing bugs or mistakes. Like, my best share in the last contest with 42 upvotes didn't get a Redditposh comment so I got no $HIVE reward for this share 😤 But okay.
There are many hundreds of such subreddits. We can collect some to help newbies to start.
Thanks for the heads-up about the visibility of the link. I'm quite happy to take on some challenges during the initial process if it helps the group.
I’ve shared in the crochet group and am hoping to pull a few for needlework, but their rules mention "self-promotion." It seems more focused on personal projects rather than community links. Maybe double-check that for us.
I’ll try the crocheting group next; it seems okay with the rules. The macramé group doesn’t allow self-promotion, but I posted there naively and didn’t face any issues. However, I’m a little hesitant to try again as I might get permanently banned.
Foraging seems reasonable, but I’m unsure how much sharing I can do there, even though my posts would likely be helpful for some.
I’ll update you on anything else I find. 👍
Mycology doesn’t seem to be on the list, but it doesn’t say links are not allowed. Maybe it’s worth trying there, too, and we'll see how it goes!
Thanks a lot 🤝
Thanks for the delegation and your work. 👍

I have two good posts that I did not include in the contest because I was unsure if they were valid. They have been removed, and I could not access the link; further details are in the comment.

These two.
I checked your shares, alas, none of them are valid because they have no Hive link visible in preview:
Really? 😲
I had lots of link shares, in my profile I could see the link.
Oh Never mind. But that's disappointing to just realize just now.
Share the screenshot, I am curious to see it.
To be fully sure that there was no issue connecting to my device or app, I asked my friend in another country to check from her device too, Reddit app. These screenshots from her: she found no links in previews of your shares. I personally checked from 2 devices, my laptop (the desktop version) and mobile (two apps).
I had to click to see the link. My carelessness. No worries.
What do you mean? Just share the screenshot of your profile.
Here is the photo. I assumed it was all ok as I could see the link.
Not to worry, I'll just have to delete them all then as it is not valid. I could use them other ways instead. I worked hard for them . 👍
I know you are still working hard on a few things, but just a little observation and a question:
Is it possible to implement a built-in feature that notifies an Ecency author when their post is re-shared by the same person to a different subreddit? For instance, if I or someone else shares my Ecency post to Subreddit A and then re-shares it to Subreddit B, I would like to receive notifications.
Also, it would be helpful if the notification system could update itself when a shared post is deleted and then reposted.
I’ve noticed that the notification system currently updates when different people share the same content, but no notification is sent when the same person shares the content with several different groups.
One example is this post: deleted, reposted and re-shared.

Thanks!
