The news is that HivePosh has started growing our own Threads micro-influencers. This contest is a way we'll incentivize Hivers to develop their Threads accounts and cooperate with each other over the next 3 months (details).
So a week or so ago, 6 of us started posting from zero-authority Threads accounts to see how it would go. That's the results and prizes for the HivePosh Threads Contest #1:

Let's compare to Instagram...
Guess someone might say: why Threads? Everyone is on Instagram! Coincidently, I posted the same content on my zero-authority IG. The results are:
A zero-authority KittizensOfTheWorld on IG: 2 likes from strangers.
A zero-authority KittizensOfTheWorld on Threads: 200++ likes, reposts, comments, shares from strangers.
Thus, Threads is really, really better for new accounts than Instagram.
But what about converting the engagement into the following? That's a challenge, yeah, but hopefully our skills will improve as well as the Threads algo support will grow when we prove to be consistent Threads bloggers. Though each of us, or almost each of us, actually got some followers this week so let's see what will happen in a week. ๐
People can't stop comparing
And I am not an exception. And that's great - that's the best fuel to become better as a blogger. For example, HivePosh Reddit contest was a true lab for building Reddit marketers, and the Threads contest will certainly be the same. Have fun, learn, and sell your upgraded online marketing skills afterwards on the labor market.
The biggest prize in the contest - I'll remind you - isn't a weekly US dollar or so, but a well-established Threads account relevant to your life interests with a perspective raising more HivePosh prizes when we begin the second phase and also finding real customers wanting a paid micro-influencer in your niche one day.

The Upgraded Rules
- 1 Hiver = 1 entry to this contest
- 1 Hiver can have up to 3 Threads blogs
- Your total engagement count (a total number of comments, likes, reposts, shares) must be 30 or more to be eligible for the prizes.
- Your Threads posts and comments mustn't be older than 11 days to be eligible. They must be posted after July 8, 2026, when the HivePosh Threads contest was announced

Congratulations to everyone on your results - great job!
Iโd also like to share a quick observation. Iโve launched a second Threads account. My first account will remain dedicated to local landscape photography and will continue to be run in Polish. The second account, however, will focus primarily on travel-related content, which, based on my observations so far, seems to perform much better on Threads.
Iโve come to the conclusion that combining local photography and travel content on a single profile creates an inconsistent identity, and the algorithm doesnโt seem to support that mix very well. Thatโs why Iโve decided to separate these two directions and see how this approach performs.
The initial results are encouraging - the new travel account is already performing noticeably better.
Iโd also really appreciate the support of my fellow Hivers on this new travel account. My Arsky profile, on the other hand, will remain in Polish and will be aimed primarily at the Polish community, including members of the initiative such as @ladytruckview. I believe this separation will make our interactions feel more natural while also reducing the risk of triggering reach limitations (commonly referred to as a shadowban) due to unnatural engagement patterns.

Great decision! However, be careful - although they formally don't mind but they can flag the second account for being a puppet account. Two diff laguanges is a good way to border one from another... Sufficient way? Who knows.
Or better to say reach canceling. Threads did to my 2 accounts when I logged in for both on my mobile. They sent me a letter "A login on a new device, your accounts can't be" that and this "for safety reasons" and at the same time I lost all vistirors/likes/etc apart from the followers. After 2 days of suffering :D, I deleted the app from my phone and everything recovered for both accounts.
Just keep in mind.... Threads is a new app, with AI with potentially contradictory behavior.
Both accounts belonged to the same meta account center? Because I tried it before and I also received a similar message. I currently have accounts in two different account centers not linked by email and phone number and I can easily switch accounts on one device. I'll let you know if anything changes.
Wow! Well done everyone! Itโs great to see Threads working so well in the first week. Itโs definitely a different experience compared to Reddit, and right now itโs all about learning and experimenting, finding your own style and discovering what works.
One good thing is that Threads is still quite new, and the Threads community is still in a beta stage. Itโs not as strict as Reddit yet, but Iโm sure the rules will become more established over time. So this is a great opportunity to build your account while the platform is still relatively new and open.
So if you can, join in and donโt worry too much about the numbers in the beginning. Just keep experimenting, learn what works, and focus on building your account and your audience.
Iโm looking forward to seeing the progress of this promising initiative by @x-rain. TBH, after spending plenty of time competing, Iโm just going to enjoy the opportunity to experiment, learn, and see where this journey takes us and Hive.
From what I can see, Threads could become a great place to promote Hive in the future. There are plenty of opportunities to promote Hive there. Wishing everyone the best! ๐

Hi... so any comments posted on Threads after July 8 count toward the contest, right?
They don't necessarily have to be comments between Hivers.
Between Hivers - to help each other with engagement.
I see... And just out of curiosity, can a comment on a thread by a user who isn't part of Hive count as one of the four required posts for the contest?
I'm asking in case some of our comments generate a level of engagement that's higher than or comparable to that of a featured post.
