Contest Entries
It's been a busy couple of weeks and about time for the results of the WOO Lore Hinterland Hunters Contest. In truth the results post and next round are long overdue! With everything falling into place for Scholar and Scribe to partner with PageDAO and shenanigans happening in my offline life I have some catching up to do this weekend!
Nevertheless we've had some fantastic entries that give the Hinterland Hunters some epic backstories! So lets dive right into things and check out the entries below:

@wrestlingdesires introduced us to Mack and Mick, a pair of crocodile wranglers tired of the constant near death experiences that are part of their job. Worse... they sometimes get paid in lemonade... An invitation to wrestle a different kind of monster sets them on the path to Tag Team stardom!

@blitzzzz showed us that sometimes the solution to being a down and out Kangaroo boxer is to change career paths and become alligator wrestlers instead. I'm not convinced that a Kangaroo boxing circus was a bad idea for Jack and Wayne, but clearly they needed to become alligator wrestlers in order to meet BookerMan and join WOO!

@anikekirsten gave us an overview of the two wrestlers, solidifying their backstories and how they came to be world renowned Tag Team Champions. Of course a story like Jack and Wayne's isn't complete without a touch of tragedy... it seems that despite their rocky road the pair are ready and stronger than ever to conquer tag team matches at WOO!

@Cryptoniusrex came in just a touch after the contest technically closed... of course I'm a touch late myself with the winners post today but with prizes on the line we have to stick with the rules! It's an interesting piece that stuck to dialogue and internal monologues to give us some perspective from the Hinterland Hunters. I'd like to see another piece with the two of them wrestling their first Alligator!

@wrestlingdesires your piece gives us a great backstory and is highly entertaining. I enjoyed the fight scene and yours was the only one to include any! The inclusion of additional signature moves that fit their characters was well done. I have to admit that I wish you had stuck with the names for them as laid out in the initial post though!

@anikekirsten I appreciated the longer history for the characters and focus on giving them a longer trajectory that led them to wrestling! You integrated other cards from the game (Paulie Savage) and made their story deeper than some of the other entries but without dialogue it didn't bring them to life in quite the same way as other entries.

@Blitzzzz your piece made me laugh and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, it makes the two seem like they are bouncing from one harebrained scheme to another! I would have liked to see it fleshed out further with some witty banter to bring it to life!

ALLLLLLLLRIIIIGHT! Round Two!
Moving on to the next round of the WOO Lore Contest! We will be following the same format as the last round with the same prizes up for grabs for entries. This round will be focused on "The Wave Rider" Willow White! You can find her page on the website here. She's a former professional surfer so I am intrigued to see how you guys envision her transition from a radical beach bum to a force to be reckoned with in the ring!
Requirements for Entries:
Entries for the contest must be more than 300 words and less than 1500.
Entries must be focused on Willow White and bring her to life with a backstory and details.
Entries must be linked in the comments under this post!
The contest will end two weeks from today when the countdown timer attached to the post has run down.
