Saludos amigos de #hive y #homeedders el día de hoy comparto con ustedes la elaboración de un traje de fantasía con temática de la luna, el cual fue elaborado con las cortinas de lluvia que se utilizan como adorno en fiestas de cumpleaños.
Greetings friends of #hive and #homeedders today I share with you the elaboration of a moon themed fantasy costume, which was made with the rains that are used as decorations for birthday parties.
Mi primita de 4to grado quedó como reina en su salón, y para el desfile debía tener un vestido de gala y uno de fantasía.
My 4th grade cousin was the queen of her class, and for the parade she had to have a ball gown and a fancy dress.
Este traje lo elaboramos mi tía y yo en 12 horas, debido que la persona que nos facilitaría uno canceló el día previo al reinado de carnaval de la escuela, y nos tuvimos que poner manos a la obra.
This costume was made by my aunt and I in 12 hours, because the person who would provide us with one cancelled the day before the school carnival pageant, and we had to get down to work.

Cardboard. Silicone. Black marker. Scissors. Gold, silver, purple colored rain curtain.

- Para empezar con las lunas que llevaría en la espalda busqué primero los materiales que utilizaría, en este caso cartón, lluvia dorada, marcador, silicón y tijeras.
To start with the moons that I would wear on the back I first looked for the materials I would use, in this case cardboard, golden rain, marker, silicone and scissors.
- Dibuje primero las medias lunas y la luna lleva en pedazos de cartón para luego proceder a recortarlos.
I first drew the crescent moons and the moon on pieces of cardboard and then proceeded to cut them out.
- Una vez con las piezas recortadas empecé a envolverlas con la cortina de lluvia dorada, una por una.
Once I had the pieces cut out I began to wrap them with the golden rain curtain, one by one.
- Con las piezas envueltas empecé a realizar el soporte de la espalda en donde se colocarían los tirantes para así rlo lleve cómodamente en su espalda.
With the wrapped pieces I began to make the back support where the straps would be placed to carry him comfortably on his back.
- Con el soporte listo procedí a pegar las lunas y terminar de armar esa parte del traje.
With the support ready I proceeded to glue the moons and finish assembling that part of the costume.

- Para la falda usamos un short, al cual le adherimos una capa de cortinas de lluvias moradas y encima una de lluvias plateadas con destellos azules. Con mucho cuidado se le dio forma al borde de la cintura con la parte superior de las lluvias.
For the skirt we used a short, to which we attached a layer of purple rains curtains and on top a layer of silver rains with blue sparkles. We carefully shaped the edge of the waist with the upper part of the rains.
- Para la parte superior fue el mismo procedimiento, primero se buscó tapar todo el top superior con la lluvia morada.
For the upper part it was the same procedure, first we tried to cover the entire upper top with the purple rain.
- Una vez terminada la parte morada se empezó con la plateada, y en la parte de la espalda se dejaron más largas y se recortaron las de la parte delantera.
Once the purple part was finished we started with the silver one, and in the back part we left longer and trimmed the ones in the front.

- El procedimiento fue el mismo que el de las lunas de la espalda, solo que mas reducido, se recortaron las pequeñas piezas y luego se forraron.
The procedure was the same as for the moons on the back, only smaller, the small pieces were cut out and then lined.
- Después forre una cajita, la cual a su vez serían de fácil apertura y cierre, para llenarla de caramelos y fueran estos de fácil acceso.
Then I lined a little box, which in turn would be easy to open and close, to fill it with candy and make it easy to access.
- El palo de madera se forro con cinta blanca y se decoró con cinta amarilla, luego se adhirió a la caja con un soporte interno, para que quedara ajustado.
The wooden stick was lined with white ribbon and decorated with yellow ribbon, then attached to the box with an internal bracket, so that it would fit snugly.
Me encantó como quedó el traje, aunque lo tuvimos que realizar de último minuto con los materiales que teníamos por casa, fue una gran experiencia y disfrutamos mucho haciéndolo. A mi primita realmente le gusto como quedó todo y se divirtió mucho haciendo su presentación con su traje de luna.
I loved how the costume turned out, even though we had to make it last minute with the materials we had at home. It was a great experience and we really enjoyed making it. My little cousin really liked how it turned out and had a lot of fun making her presentation with her moon costume.
