The Department of Education said that the Modules for students is the teacher itself. The very first thing to do for kids to learn is to teach them how to read and understand the different languages in the module.

Kids will not be able to learn if they do not know and understand what is written in the module.Last week we were able to answer and submit the 1st week module to School teachers.

According to my research from fellow parents
most of the kids module are answered by parents or by relatives because kids couldnt understand the lessons written in the module. So that makes me bothered that kids will not learn anything because only the parents are answering the modules that needs to be submitted in just one week.

Kids cannot always rely to parents to answer their modules. So I'm thinking of the other way or options how kids will learn to answer thier modules in thier independent way.

Therefore I decided to do the very first step is to teach them to read and understand their modules in Multilingual language.

Philippines Speaks 10 to 12 Languages unincluding the Native languages from different Native tribes.

Bicol language
Tagalog language
Bisaya language
Ilonggo language
Waray language
Maranao language
Tausog language
Ilocano language
Panggalato
Badjao

We are in Mindanao and our Native language is Bisaya. My kids Module are written in Bisaya, Tagalog and English.

So Im going to teach my kids to read and write in Bisaya, Tagalog and English.I have a Tagalog-English Dictionary and some materials as guide for thier first reading such as A, B,K ,D book.

I remember when I was a kid my mom taught me how to read using this book so Im using the same book to my kids now so that they will learn the basic reading.

Reading and Translating :

Bisaya to English
Tagalog to English
Bisaya to Tagalog

In this way if the kids will be able to read and understand what they have read it will be easier for them to answer their module rather than the parents or the relatives will answer the module because in this case if the kids will depend to their parents to answer the module kids will never learn what was their lessons was all about.

So at the end of the School year if the parents will not push that their children will learn in proper way then its the parents failure.

Im teaching my kids the basic way or reading and understanding languages for now.at the same time Im guiding then with their modules because honestly Im also confused with the some of the lessons at their modules.

Parents must be aware the concern of true learning skills of the kids. There are too many ways to help our children to avoid too much stress answering their modules.I can feel that they are too bored of keep staying at home and doing their modules .

So Im thinking some other way how they will enjoy studying at staying at home.In my next post I will write about our other activities and productivity at home.

After they study and answer their modules I let them do some artworks that can enhance their artwork and creativity.

The type of study they do in school doesn't always translate very well to when you have to study at home XD I think you're going about it the right way if you have to work within this framework.

Yes youre right parents must exert more efforts so that the kids will truely learn there are even written in modules that are incorrect.

That's complicated, having so many dialects! It's good for them to learn multiple languages at the same time. I'm not great at Italian any more but once our son is old enough to really start doing school stuff, I plan on including Italian in our curriculum so that he and I can discover it together!
