Greetings friends this is my first time that I publish in this community Home Edders Community, the truth did not know what it has to do with homeschooling, thanks to the initiative of OCD to support the different communities in the incubation process through this contest that consists of knowing how is the cost of living in your country or region?
Antes de contestar esta interrogante quiero decir que soy de Venezuela, de profesión docente, tengo actualmente catorce años trabajando para el Ministerio de Educación como docente en el área de informática, donde atiendo a niños y niñas desde educación preescolar hasta sexto grado, también a personas de la comunidad que hacen usos las TICS, Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación. Debido a la pandemia del covid19, la educación dio un vuelco inesperado ya que hoy en día estamos trabajando a distancia. Ahora voy a comenzar con la interrogante.
Before answering this question, I want to say that I am from Venezuela, teaching profession, I have currently fourteen years working for the Ministry of Education as a teacher in the area of computer science, where I serve boys and girls from pre-school education to sixth grade, also people of the community that use ICTs, Information and Communication Technologies. Due to the covid19 pandemic, education took an unexpected turn since today we are working remotely. Now I'm going to start with the question:
¿Cómo es el costo de vida en su país o región?/ How is the cost of living in your country or region?
En Venezuela actualmente vivimos en una hiperinflación en donde el costo de vida es bastante elevado ya que el salario que devengamos los profesionales de la administración pública equivalen a 6 dólares mensual, lo cual no alcanza para cubrir la cesta básica de alimentos, ni tampoco para las medicinas, ropa y diversión. Recuerdo que en el año 2008 Venezuela vivía una bonanza con uno de los salarios más altos de Latinoamérica, donde con la cesta tike de alimentación yo pude comprar una lavadora, imagínense después en el año 2013 comenzó a descender el salario el cual no alcanza realmente para poder comprar alimentos para poder vivir.
In Venezuela we currently live in a hyperinflation where the cost of living is quite high since the salary that we earn as public administration professionals is equivalent to 6 dollars a month, which is not enough to cover the basic food basket, nor for the medicines, clothes and fun. I remember that in 2008 Venezuela was experiencing a bonanza with one of the highest salaries in Latin America, where with the tike food basket I was able to buy a washing machine, imagine later in 2013 the salary began to decrease, which is not really enough to to be able to buy food to live.
Los alimentos son bastante costosos, ya que no existe un control de precios debido a que los comerciantes y los distribuidores de alimentos se rigen por una tasa de cambio virtual la cual fija el precio de Dólar en Bolívar, es decir si estas páginas aumentan el precio del dólar entonces todos los comerciantes cambian los precios de los productos de la cesta básica. Aquí les puedo mostrar unas fotografías de los precios de los alimentos y el equivalente en Dólares.
Food is quite expensive, since there is no price control because traders and food distributors are governed by a virtual exchange rate which fixes the price of Dollar in Bolívar, that is, if these pages increase the price of the dollar then all the merchants change the prices of the products of the basic basket. Como podrán ver con un salario de esta magnitud los empleados públicos no podemos cubrir los gastos, debido a estos los profesionales hemos buscados otras alternativas para obtener otros ingresos a parte del salario.
As you can see with a salary of this magnitude, public employees cannot cover the expenses, due to these, the professionals have looked for other alternatives to obtain other income apart from the salary.
A raíz de la pandemia del Covid19, el gobierno decide establecer la educación a distancia, en donde los docentes realizan guías de estudios para los estudiantes, en la cual el representante se encarga de guiar a sus hijos en sus casas. Esto ha costado un poco porque mis hijos estaban adaptados al espacio escolar con su maestro y compartiendo con sus compañeros de clases, es un nuevo rol que ahora yo como representantes debo cumplir en el hogar. La educación que se recibe en Venezuela es totalmente gratuita pero esta ha descendido un poco la calidad debido a los bajos salarios que perciben los maestros, que ha ocasionado que muchos profesionales se vayan del país y otros trabajen en otras actividades que nada tiene que ver con su profesión. Los estudiantes recibían en todos los grados una minilapto Canaima para estudiar en la escuela y en sus casas, también recibían los libros llamados Colección Bicentenaria de diferentes áreas.
As a result of the Covid19 pandemic, the government decides to establish distance education, where teachers make study guides for students, in which the representative is in charge of guiding their children at home. This has cost a bit because my children were adapted to the school space with their teacher and sharing with their classmates, it is a new role that now I as representatives must fulfill at home. The education received in Venezuela is completely free, but the quality has decreased a bit due to the low salaries received by teachers, which has caused many professionals to leave the country and others to work in other activities that have nothing to do with your profession. Students in all grades received a Canaima minilapto to study at school and at home, they also received the books called Bicentennial Collection from different areas.
Con respecto al costo de la vivienda igualmente son sumamente alto, hoy en día las casas más económicas están por el orden de los 6.0000 Dólares, en adelante, imagínense cómo un trabajador de la administración pública va poder tener una vivienda digna con un salario tan bajo. Anteriormente había la oportunidad a través de los banco obtener créditos para comprar vivienda pero hoy en día no gozamos de este beneficio debido al salario que tenemos todos los profesionales.
Regarding the cost of housing, they are also extremely high, today the cheapest houses are in the order of 6,0000 dollars, from now on, imagine how a public administration worker will be able to have a decent home with such a low salary . Previously there was the opportunity through banks to obtain loans to buy a home but today we do not enjoy this benefit due to the salary that all professionals have.
En la comunidad donde vivo se destaca básicamente del comercio donde podemos observar muchos extranjeros como Chinos, Ecuatorianos, Peruanos es decir personas extranjeras que le brinda a nuestro país la venta de alimentos y enseres, otra actividad que se destaca es la talabartería lo cual se ha incrementado en la venta de artículos de cuero como correas, sillas de caballos, entre otros.
In the community where I live, it stands out basically from the trade where we can observe many foreigners such as Chinese, Ecuadorians, Peruvians, that is, foreign people who offer our country the sale of food and equipment, another activity that stands out is saddlery, which has been increased in the sale of leather items such as straps, horse saddles, among others.
En la parte cultural de mi comunidad se realizan las peregrinaciones en los meses enero a febrero en honor a la Virgen de Lourdes en donde la localidad es visitada por muchos peregrinos para venerar a la virgen y hacen procesiones en los alrededores de Villa de Cura.
In the cultural part of my community, pilgrimages take place in the months of January to February in honor of the Virgin of Lourdes, where the town is visited by many pilgrims to venerate the Virgin and they make processions in the surroundings of Villa de Cura.
Así mismo finalizando el mes de marzo se celebra la semana santa, donde muchas personas de diferentes estados vienen para venerar al Santo Sepulcro de Villa de Cura, otros para pedir por la salud de sus familiares y para pagar alguna promesas religiosas.
Likewise, at the end of the month of March, Holy Week is celebrated, where many people from different states come to venerate the Holy Sepulcher of Villa de Cura, others to ask for the health of their relatives and to pay some religious promises.
Quiero decir que gracias a Hive me ha dado la oportunidad de obtener ingresos que me han permitido poder cubrir los gastos de alimentación y medicinas para mi familia, gracias Dios a este excelente blockchain que me ha permitido crecer cada día más.
