Greetings dear community, in this publication I want to share with you a very pleasant experience that happened to me with online classes in this time of confinement.
My son is a 12 year old boy who has been studying online for almost a year now, it has been a challenge for him since the change was abrupt as he had to leave the classrooms and his classmates for a computer screen. As a family it has also been a challenge since far from setting schedules to adequately perform the tasks assigned to him, many times he has to explain at home the academic content but to do it well and in a fun way.
Saludos querida comunidad, en esta publicación quiero compartirles una experiencia muy agradable que me sucedió con las clases en línea en este tiempo de confinamiento.
Mi hijo es un niño de 12 años que lleva casi un año cursando sus estudios en la modalidad on line, ha sido todo un desafío para él ya que el cambio fue abrupto al tener que dejar las aulas y sus compañeros de clase por una pantalla de computadora. Como familia ha sido también un reto ya que lejos de colocar horarios para realizar de forma adecuada las tareas que se le asignan, muchas veces toca explicar en casa el contenido académico pero hacerlo bien y de forma divertida.
One of my son's teachers gave him a challenge that seemed at first a cumbersome task but he was able to turn it around and make it a meaningful and entertaining activity.
The task was "Create a Didactic Game", quite a challenge for a 12 year old boy because you have to start by explaining to him that didactic means that by playing it he will learn, and also design the shape that this game would have and that it would be about a topic of interest to him, so because it is a task the interest and fun are sometimes seen as an obligation to meet a deadline, factors that stress an adult, just imagine a child of this age.
One day my son asked me for a list of materials and told me that he had already planned his "Didactic Game" and that he would start to elaborate it, I was surprised and I complied with his request and look what he did:
Uno de los profesores de mi hijo le puso un reto que parecía en un inicio una tarea engorrosa pero él pudo darle la vuelta y hacer de ésta una actividad significativa y entretenida.
La tarea era "Crear un Juego Didáctico", todo un desafío para un chico de 12 años ya que hay que empezar por explicarle que didáctico significa que al jugarlo deje aprendizaje, y además diseñar la forma que tendría este juego y que se tratara de un tema de interés para él, así que por tratarse de una tarea el interés y diversión a veces se ven como una obligación a cumplir en un tiempo establecido que es la fecha de entrega, factores que a un adulto lo estresan, imágínense a un niño de esta edad.
Un día mi hijo me pidió una lista de materiales y me dijo que ya tenía planificado su "Juego Didáctico" y que se pondría a elaborarlo, yo quedé sorprendida y cumplí con su petición y miren lo que hizo:
Let me put it in context, my son is a fan of digital games especially collectible card games so he was inspired by this for his game. He made a board, designed his cards using powerpoint, by the way I must tell you that he taught me a couple of tricks in the operation of this program. He put a cardboard base on each card and then laminated them with contact paper as well as the board, but what impressed me the most was the dynamics of the game.
Los pongo en contexto, mi hijo es fanático de los juegos digitales en especial los juegos de cartas coleccionables así que se inspiró en esto para su juego. Hizo un tablero, diseñó sus cartas usando powerpoint, de paso debo decirles que me enseñó un par de trucos en el funcionamiento de este programa. A cada carta le colocó una base de cartón y luego las plastificó con papel contact al igual que el tablero, pero lo que más me impresionó fue la dinámica del juego.
My son loves mathematics and physics, and some science, so he chose as characters for his letters prominent people in these areas from Pythagoras, Archimedes, Stephen Hawking, Einstein, Turing, Tesla, Madame Curie, Louis Pasteur and Jacques Cousteau. A somewhat curious combination.
When I asked him how the game was played, he explained that the symbols on the front of each card indicated the life that each character had, the power and his protection, that it was all a system of subtraction and addition of these values according to the cards that the players had, which were placed on the board in order to cancel the opponent's card, but the most surprising thing was that on the back of each card he placed the achievements of each one and that was his power in the game. For example Curie with her radioactivity could affect Hawking's space-time which allows him to escape according to the game and be a card of great value for the player who possesses it, also according to the game when a player has in his possession the card of Louis Pasteur next to that of Jacques Cousteau, these two are enhanced since Pasteur by studying microorganisms helps Custeau to discover organisms invisible to the human eye in the marine world. Likewise, if a player has in his deck the Alan Turing and Eistein Card, it makes him almost invincible since Turing helps Einstein with his formulas and they can escape through a relative time portal.
A mi hijo le encantan las matemáticas y la física, y algo las ciencias, por eso eligió como personajes para sus cartas a destacados de estas áreas desde Pitágoras, Arquímedes, Stephen Hawking, Einstein, Turing, Tesla, Madamme Curie, Luis Pasteur y Jacques Cousteau. Una combinación un tanto curiosa.
Cuando le pregunté cómo se jugaba, él me explicó que al frente de cada carta se indicaban con unos símbolos la vida que tenía cada personaje, el poder y su protección, que todo se trataba de un sistema de resta y suma de estos valores según las cartas que tuvieran los jugadores, las cuales van colocando en el tablero con el fin de anular la carta del contrincante, pero lo más sorprendente fue que en el dorso de cada carta colocó los logros de cada uno y eso era su poder en el juego. Por ejemplo Curie con su radiactividad podía afectar el espacio-tiempo de Hawking que le permite escapar según el juego y ser una carta de gran valor para el jugador que la posea, también según el juego cuando un jugador tiene en su poder la Carta de Luis Pasteur junto a la de Jacques Cousteau, éstos dos se potencian ya que Pasterur al estudiar microorganismos ayuda a Custeau a descubrir organismos invisibles al ojo humano en el mundo marino. Igualmente si un jugador tiene en su mazo la Carta de Alan Turing y Eistein, lo hace casi invencible ya que Turing ayuda a Einstein con sus fórmulas y pueden escapar por un portal relativo de tiempo.
The explanation, I had to write it down so I could tell you about it in this post, since it seems to me that what he learned from these great characters together with his imagination led him to create a game with super heroes but in the area of science. While my son was narrating and teaching me how to play I felt that these scientists were like some kind of X-Men hahaha.
As you can see, my son gave life to each character through their achievements and invented rules that through the scientific achievements of each one allow them to interact with each other, in a game where each "conferred power" helped my son to learn from these 9 greats of humanity in a fun way.
La explicación, la tuve que anotar para poder yo contárselas en este post, ya que me parece que lo que aprendió de estos grandes personajes junto a su imaginación lo llevaron a crear un juego con súper héroes pero del área de las ciencias. Mientras mi hijo me narraba y me enseñaba a jugar sentía que estos científicos eran como una especie de X-Men jajaja.
Como pueden ver, a cada personaje mi hijo le dió vida a través de sus logros e inventó unas reglas que a través de los alcances científicos de cada uno les permiten interactuar entre ellos, en un juego donde cada "poder conferido" le ayudó a mi hijo a aprender de estos 9 grandes la humanidad de forma divertida.
Gracias por leer mi publicación, espero que esta experiencia que te narro te sirva para saber que nuestros chicos de hoy poseen una imaginación ilimitada y hay que sacar ventaja de ello para que su formación académica sea significativa a pesar que se realice desde casa.

La didáctica es saber cómo orquestar el contenido y la práctica en novedad de acuerdo al contexto y de forma dinámica. En este caso el profesor dejo abierto el propósito del juego, sin embargo, ustedes le orientaron.
Este trabajo que realizó tu hijo desarrolló muchas áreas. Solución un problema, tal inteligencia le permitió adecuar el conocimiento o la experiencia sobre un juego para hacerlo más interesante.
Construyó contenido, usó la lógica, puso en práctica el conocimiento previo de las ciencias, empleó el arte y estuvo seguro de su idea.
