Lots of lesson ideas this week. We seem to run in themes. 😁 I love so many of these approaches I'm starting to wish my girls were young again!

First our usual thank you everyone who makes this community what it is. This week 5% beneficiaries for interaction and contribution to the HomeEdders community go to:

@majo77
@melbourneswest
@emimoron

When you can't get out to the stores for strong materials and you're wanting to build a skateboard ramp, you need to get creative with what you've got and that's where physics comes in! I just loved this practical science learning opportunity @melbourneswest dived into with his daughter, when the only material they had for a skate ramp was cardboard. Time for a STEM class!

On the literacy front, @emimoron shares some great strategies for developing writing skills in the unset 5s. It isn't all about just writing the letters, but also about developing control of their hands and fingers, so there are lots of fun ways to work towards this process.

Recently @crosheille, over in the US, joined a homeschooling co-op with her family. I don't know if this is a concept which is only available in the US, or in other countries too and I'm curious to know how widespread it is. Have you experienced anything like this where you live?

Moving onto maths class, @iriadegoes shares some fun methods to learn addition and subtraction. Maths is a subject that can easily become daunting or overwhelming if approached the wrong way, so I enjoyed the approaches taken here.

Here's a game to really get you thinking quick from @divinekids, with a levelled up version of Simon Says. They did a better job than I would have!

Thank you for joining us. This curation was brought to you by @minismallholding and this week I have added @unschool as 10% beneficiary for the ongoing delegation support. Thank you!
