Home Education Curation Collection. 31st January 2021

in Home Edders3 years ago

I don't think the community has ever been this active! The account VP has been taking a hammering, which is great news. We've been getting some insightful entries for the debate challenge and look forward to seeing more. We have the rest of today and tomorrow if you want to get something in.

Our community members have been busy in the comment sections. I'm pleased to announce that this week @ryivhnn receives 7 Hive, @cmplxty 4 Hive, @arrliinn 4 Hive and @anli 1 Hive.

Before I move on with the featured posts, I want to remind you that all homeschool related posts can use the #naturalmedicine tag to earn LOTUS on their submissions too. Home education content is welcome there and the community is happy to be partnering with us, so don't fear the tag. 😉

As @taliakerch's son reaches official schooling age, she's been looking at the different approaches people take to home education and discusses why she's settled on unschooling.

Following on from one of the conversations in the above post, @riverflows' shares with us some of what she gained from a lecture on how the mind works. This information could actually help to back up why unschooling works.

@arrliinn shares a day in the life from their homeschool diary and asks what your typical homecoming day looks like.

This week in Australia, we had the Australia Day public holiday. The last few years it's been the subject of some controversy, due to Australia's history. This is particularly poignant for @melbourneswest’s family and they share some of this history to explain why.

Please welcome @zo3d to the community, whose children have migrated over to homeschooling in their teens. She shares what has now become a typical day for them as the learn online.

Thank you for joining us. This curation was brought to you by @minismallholding and this week I have chosen @melbourneswest to be a 10% beneficiary of this post, and have added in another beneficiary for @abundance.tribe for the ongoing delegation support. Thank you!

Wow!! I'm nearly without words. Nearly!! Thanks for your mention! Just before reading this I have been active as a curator again, and since I don't look for scores my tipu score is pretty low. LOL. But I can't stress how happy I am, being part in this, as I already commented ... https://peakd.com/homeschooling/@anli/re-marytp20-2021131t122133107z

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

There's been an amazing response and so many different perspectives. It's going to be hard to pick a winner.

I don't envy you in the slightest XD

You've really kept me busy this week! Thank you for all the wonderful shares.
