It's been a quiet couple of weeks in the community and looks like I'm not the only one who has a lot happening offline. Due to this I've condensed both this and last week's highlights into one curation and some beneficiary rewards will go to those posts now outside of the voting window.

This week on the literacy side we have some activities to encourage writing from @emimoron.
Then there was an engineering class happening with @melbourneswest’s daughter as they assembled a mini gumball machine and bobcat.
Last week @thisismylife reviewed the free trial she had of ABC Mouse, a computer software which covers preschool (age 3+) to grade 2 (age 7+).
I'll wrap up with a couple of topics on brain development. From this week a post from @taliakerch discusses neurobiology and developing children's intellectual abilities.
Then last week @arrliinn discussed the benefits of memorisation for stimulating the mind and gave some examples of what they have been doing in this area.
