Hello Hive community, today I will present to you, the design of a didactic mathematical game, which I have called: Counting With The Fingers, made with recyclable material, for children in the initial stage and I know, it will be to your liking , to teach children to review what they have learned at home, in relation to counting numbers, for this beginning of classes, which is coming in this new school term. Counting with the fingers is a very old technique, which the teachers of before, scolded the students for it; However, this game is also a way to teach children how many fingers they have, recognize the right hand and the left hand, learn to number and the primary colors that identify the Venezuelan flag.
My grandson loved it and it is a way of reviewing what he learned at home, for his start to classes.

Hola comunidad de Hive, el día de hoy les presentaré, el diseño de un juego matemático didáctico, que he denominado: Contar Con Los Dedos, elaborado con material reciclable, para niños en la etapa inicial y que sé, que será del agrado de ustedes, para enseñar a repasar en los niños, lo aprendido en casa, en relación a contar los números, para este comienzo de clases, que se avecina en este nuevo período escolar. El contar con los dedos, es una técnica muy vieja, que los maestros de antes, regañaban a los alumnos por ello; sin embargo, este juego, es una forma también de enseñar a los niños, cuanto dedos tienen, reconocer la mano derecha y la mano izquierda, aprender a enumerar y los colores primarios, que identifican la bandera de Venezuela.
A mi nieto le encantó y es una forma de repasarle lo aprendido en casa, para su comienzo a clases.
A continuación, les presentó los materiales y pasos para su elaboración:
Materials:
• 1 cardboard box
• Scrap of cardboard
• Tempera
• Brushes
• Pair of scissors
• Silicone
• Stapler
• Exactly

• Washer
Materiales:
• 1 caja de cartón
• Retazo de cartón
• Tempera
• Pinceles
• Tijeras
• Silicón
• Engrapadora
• Exacto
• Lápiz
• Regla

Step 1:
Cut out the cardboard box, leaving a complete front, so that the back was left as a support for the box and with a piece of cardboard (in my particular case, I got a white one), cut a wider sheet, to attach it to the box.
Paso 1:
Recortar la caja de cartón, dejando un frente completo, de manera que la parte de atrás, quedé como soporte de la caja y con un retazo de cartón (en mi caso particular, conseguí uno blanco), cortar una lámina más ancha, para anexarla a la caja.
Step 2:
On some cardboard sheets, draw, cut out and paint the right and left hands and with another piece, draw cut out and paint an arrow.
Paso 2:
En unas laminas de cartón, dibujar, recortar y pintar las manos derecha e izquierda y con otro retazo, dibujar recortar y pintar una flecha.
Step 3:
Cut out a cardboard sheet (in my case, I got a white one) and write with markers, the numbers from 1 to 10, glue it with silicone and staple, on top of the box.
Paso 3:
Recortar una lamina de cartón (en mi caso, conseguí uno blanco) y escribir con marcadores, los números del 1 al 10, pegarlo con silicón y grapa, en la parte superior de la caja.
Step 4:
Glue the hands to the box with a stapler and silicone (so that the fingers bend) and the arrow attach it with a screw and washer, so that it has movement and to be able to point the numbers, according to the indicated fingers. Identify right hand (D) and left hand (I) and recognize primary colors.
Paso 4:
Pegar las manos a la caja con engrapadora y silicón (de manera, que doblen los dedos) y la flecha anexarla con tornillo y arandela, para que tenga movimiento y poder señalar los números, de acuerdo, a los dedos señalados. Identificar mano derecha (D) y mano izquierda (I) y reconocer los colores primarios.

Hola @naimajudith, me hiciste recordar el trauma que nos quedaba con eso de contar con los dedos, y era una tortura si nos veían con las manos en los bolsillos o escondidas y se daban cuenta...pero bueno después cuando fui profesional de la docencia les decía a los niños cuanten con lo que tengan a mano... y paso a paso avanzabamos a la parte mental...
Es muy bueno este trabajo y una manera para ejercitar, el paso a paso muy bien ilustrado...
Hi @naimajudith, you made me remember the trauma that we had with counting with our fingers, and it was a torture if they saw us with our hands in our pockets or hidden and they realized...but later when I was a professional teacher I told the children to count with whatever they had at hand... and step by step we advanced to the mental part....
