UNSCHOOLING FUN PHYSICS: A RAINBOW IN THE GLASS

in Home Edders3 years ago (edited)

Unschooling is a huge field of opportunities for studying with fun and pleasure, and we try to take maximum of it.
If it is NOT interested, my son will not do it, and I will not ask him, because it's BORING.

Life is interesting! Why should study be boring??

He is only 5, so for now our experiments with physics are very primitive, but it's exactly the way when it's easy, fast, interesting and clear for my boy - why and how all these processes happen.

DO you wanna make a rainbow in your glass?

My son knows how to do it!;)
Now we'll show you our knowhow:)

Just take:

some felt-tip pens
a piece of napkin (the width must be less then your glass width)
water
a glass

Then we draw some circles or big dots in one line

Then we put the napkin with circles into the water

and enjoy how the rainbow is being born just in front of us!

Btw I like that such usual things make him train his skills in using scissors, in drawing, in using water, cleaning the table after the experiment etc.

It's a piece of magic for him, and my son liked it very much!
He saw rainbows in the sky, but now he was a magician who had made it by himself!;)
Miracles;)

That’s a fun experiment here and one that’s very easy to do! I think our son will love this one as well, he’s a lover of making messes lol and he loves getting to play with colors! We don’t have many colors but I’ll do this one tomorrow with him!

I remember doing that one! You can also put a flower in coloured water and see what happens :)

(I don't like picking flowers so I try to get ones that have just fallen off)

I hope you're able to maintain that fun loving attitude into high school, that's when I notice more interested third parties (family and friends etc) start stressing out on your behalf if you're still merrily doing your thing, and have also noticed some homeschoolers also start panicking when they get to high school age :)
