UNSCHOOLING PHONETICS GAMES

in Home Edders2 years ago

A new unschooling lesson for my boy touched a topic of letter types.

There are many disputes among parents and teachers if this topic is important for kinds as well as Phonetics in general.

Personally I don't think it's super important but a kid should have definite knowledge about his mother tongue structure. That's why I have decided to enter this theme but not so boring and long like at schools.

I have prepared sheets of paper with different letters and created some games with them.

My son had to distinguish whether it's voiceless Or voiced consonants, and put them into different columns.

Then he had to find pairs for them and find if they all have pairs (friends) or not.
Then I mixed them or put away some letters, and he had to correct mistakes.

There are always many kinds of games with cards so it was fun and joy for him.

Of course, his favourite toys were playing with him studying letters:)

We must always be there creating strategies for learning letters either orally and by sounds to our little ones.

Certainly, although it may seem that the typeface is not important, children should have a good foundation in the writing of their mother tongue and also the official language in the case of countries that have several languages. Very good strategy. It is simple and easy to apply.
