Learning about the solar system/Aprendiendo del sistema solar. [eng/esp]

Hello to all the members of this community of growth and learning, in this new school stage where the little ones must attend their classes we are starting a period of adaptation and new work schemes. In the case of my children they were very comfortable at home, well so were these first years of their schooling, where we managed to incorporate learning strategies at home that gave us excellent results. Although not everything was easy, they and we were happy. Now in this year at school we have faced the challenges of the strictness of the system as well as the strategies and ways of teaching that the teachers have that sometimes limit the little ones.

This week Diego had to expose about the solar system for such a young child to learn all the planets and how our solar system works is a bit complex, however, we have managed with the help of strategies at home to make both he and Isabella manage to learn the contents that are mandatory in a simpler way for them. In this case we prepared an exhibition and made a poster with our solar system, because it is difficult to learn all the planets and their location when you are little, but with the visual support we got them to remember everything.

To make the poster we bought a poster of the solar system and got some black cardboard, on a thick cardboard we glued the black cardboard and placed a plastic stick, the kind that balloons come with and we had at home, on the back so that he could hold it. We cut out the planets and glued them in such a way that they could stick out of the cardboard, this because Diego likes to touch objects and his mom and I have realized that his memory is activated through touch, when he feels textures he can remember places and things he has done based on textures and shapes.

We placed the planets according to the way they are located in the solar system, considering first the closest to the sun and so on to the farthest one. After finishing the poster, we began the process of learning the names of the planets and one outstanding feature. We made a small video for him to see himself while he was explaining so that he could see how he did it, he liked this very much and he was able to learn the solar system very well and explain it to his classmates.

Aprendiendo del sistema solar.

Hola a todos los miembros de esta comunidad de crecimiento y aprendizaje, en esta nueva etapa escolar donde ya los pequeños deben asistir a sus clases estamos iniciando un periodo de adaptación y nuevos esquemas de trabajo. En el caso de mis hijos estaban muy a gusto en casa, bueno así fueron estos primeros años de su escolaridad, donde logramos incorporar estrategias de aprendizaje en casa que nos dieron excelentes resultados. Si bien, no todo fue fácil ellos y nosotros nos sentíamos felices. Ahora en este año totalmente en la escuela nos hemos enfrentado a los retos de lo estricto del sistema además de las estrategias y formas de enseñar que tienen las maestras que a veces limitan a los pequeños.

Esta semana Diego tuvo que exponer acerca del sistema solar para un niño tan pequeño aprenderse todos los planetas y como funciona nuestro sistema solar es un poco complejo, sin embargo, hemos logrado con ayuda de las estrategias en casa hacer que tanto él como Isabella logren aprender los contenidos que son obligatorios de forma más sencilla para ellos. En este caso preparamos una exposición e hicimos un cartel con nuestro sistema solar, debido a que es difícil lograr aprenderse todos los planetas y su ubicación cuando eres pequeño, pero con el apoyo visual conseguimos que recordada todo.

Para hacer el cartel compramos un afiche del sistema solar y conseguimos cartulina negra, sobre un cartón grueso pegamos la cartulina negra y le colocamos un palito de plástico, de ese que traen los globos y teníamos en casa, en la parte de atrás para que justamente el pudiera sostenerlo. Recortamos los planetas y los pegamos de forma tal que pudieran sobresalir de la cartulina, esto porque a Diego le gusta tocar los objetos y su mamá y yo nos hemos dado cuenta que su memoria se activa a través del tacto, cuando siente texturas puede recordar lugares y cosas que ha hecho en función de las texturas y formas.

Los planetas los ubicamos según la forma en la cual se ubican en el sistema solar considerando en primer lugar los más cercanos al sol y así hasta el más lejano. Luego de terminado el afiche comenzamos el proceso de aprendizaje de los nombres de los planetas y una característica resaltante. Hicimos un pequeño video para que él se viera mientras exponía de manera tal que pudiera darse cuenta de cómo lo hacía, esto le gustó mucho y consiguió aprender muy bien el sistema solar y explicárselo a sus compañeros.
