Detailed article on the Steem - Hive Split published on DeCrypt

in #hive4 years ago (edited)

I said at the time that the Steem - Hive Split and subsequent Sun Theft was the plot for a movie.

Others agreed and suggested a Netflix mini-series.

Well a movie or mini-series needs a script - well researched and written script that tells both sides in an entertaining fashion.

The first version of that script just got published by Tim Copeland of DeCrypt: https://decrypt.co/38050/steem-steemit-tron-justin-sun-cryptocurrency-war

It features all our favourite Hive characters: the two Dans (@theycallmedan & @blocktrades), @lukestokes, @themarkymark, @acidyo, @yabapmatt, yours truly and many more.

They say that journalism produces the first revision of history, well Tim's article is Crypto History's first draft.

That's a good summary of what happened. I may have forgotten that Steemit added an item to the T&C saying users could not promote other platforms without their permission. That immediately makes it far less useful.

i saw this today in twitter for the first time and I didnt know of the robin hood part of the story.

its really a sgaga when you read it like this! Hopefully with a mucho happy ending!
