Agenda for Hive Think Tank Wednesday 6-8 PM Eastern in the Hive Disord: https://discord.gg/TdMtAnp

in #hive4 years ago (edited)

I have been pretty busy working on some non Hive related this this week, so I have not been able to put as much time as I would like into the projects on Hive.

I would like to catch up on some things over the last week:

To finish up today's post, here are a few handy links to remind you where a lot of the public open source work is happening. If you would like to get involved, take a look around and see what might be a good fit!
The public, open source GitLab: https://gitlab.syncad.com/hive
The developer's portal: https://developers.hive.io/
The main website: https://hive.io/ (links to many useful things here, under continual development)
One of the project sites where you can browse and list projects in the Hive ecosystem: https://hiveprojects.io/
Block explorers: https://hiveblocks.com/ and https://hive-db.com/

@patrickulrich has been a huge help on this so far, he really spent a lot of time changing things around and updating and contacting me about things we can do to make it better.

We have been having some fun trying to get rid of the Steem logo off the front of the page, evidently that is something that needs to be changed "higher up".

We will get that figured out.

Currently, Our Biggest Priorities are the following:

Updating wiki.

We can always use more help. If you already had a steem.center account, you can use the same information to sign into HiveWiki.Dev. If not, you can create an account! Feel free do DM me on Discord at ericwilson#1388 to see what we are working on, There is also a BeeWiki.Dev Community set up as well as a Hive Wiki Channel within the Hive Discord. Keep up to date on what is being changed and what we are focusing on! You also may be curated for added content to the wiki if you post there!

Create a friendly landing page on the wiki for brand-new users.

As we develop the Wiki, we will evolve it into creating a one-stop shop for new users. We need one place where a person can get all the information they need. I will be working with people who are NEW TO CRYPTO to help test.

Figuring out how we can create a "new user friendly" condensor

This is just a hair-brain idea. One of two ideas: We could create a beginner friendly condensor of the Hive blockchain and/or create some sort of extension that walks a new user through the stages of using the platform. This could be expanded to other Hive blockchain applications.

Staying in contact with curation groups and seeing how we can help to post content on social media.

I am working on ways we can get more eyes on Hive articles. Hopefully we can work out something with PeakD and analytics for this. There are numerous ways we can figure this out.

For instance: https://twitter.com/artistshive

SMT development (keeping in contact with devs)

We need these, right?

Be sure to join us in the Wednesday night Hive Think Tank in the Hive Discord Server: https://discord.gg/TdMtAnp at 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Eastern.

Excited to be working on a project again with you @ericwilson. Looking forward to this!

Also people please follow the @hiveio account. That is one of the most if not the most important accounts on the Hive Block Chain. Everyone should follow it, I know there are more than 715 people interested in the development of the Hive network and what direction we as a community want to take.

I hope I am able to listen/view or just watch the interaction tomorrow.

Cool man looking forward to this. I'll be there.
