Hello everyone! I hope you are all ok facing this new crisis that came upon us. I wanted to give you another status update regarding what's happening in Greece right now. I will keep posting about the situation in Greece related to COVID-19 but only once per week, cause i want to keep my posts a little bit happier!

Numbers

Almost a week ago and to be precise 6 days, when i wrote my last post, we had
331 confirmed cases, 4 deaths and 10 people that have been discharged from the hospital. As of now we have 530 confirmed cases, 13 deaths and 19 discharged.

All of these confirmed cases is due to some strict measures the government took but don't get me wrong there are way more cases that we are all unaware. These 530 cases are out of 8000 people are examined. Note that we are over 10 millions so you can imagine how many more are the cases.

Craziness & Dumbfuckery

Last time i posted the "strict measures" and i am gonna quote myself now because i am too cool to be true

So during Friday the government announced that mostly everything will be closed from cafeterias and clubs to theaters and cinemas. For the cafeterias and restaurants only the delivery and takeaway options will be up and also all the supermarkets, bakeries etc etc will be open. They also informed us that the supermarkets will remain open this coming week and will be plenty of everything.

The both "funny and sad" thing is that a lot....and i mean a lot of people didn't care at all about the whole situation and did whatever the hell they wanted. Instead of going to cafeterias and bars (because all of these are on lockdown), they flooded the beaches, the parks and even organized home parties...

So because the virus can spread once again quite easy now, the government closed down most of the parks and beaches, banned all the gatherings of 10 and more people and they even said that all those that don't follow the rules will be punished with a 1000 euro fine to even jail time.

note at this point that although i may sound like a big fan of the government i particularity hate the current one but even more i hate stupidity!

I really can't understand why the hell everyone is doing not only what the doctors and scientists in Greece say not to, but throughout the worldIf you wanna go out for walk go alone once every couple of days and that's it.

I went yesterday to the supermarket and took a different route in order to check if people are at home or not. I couldn't believe in my eyes.... I saw more people in the streets than i see in Saturday on Sunday in a busy street. The majority of those were people over 50 years old, in other words the people that are most at risk..... I will finish this post with an image giving you what social distancing can do in this situation!
