Hive KeyChain New Release v1.8.2.1

in #hive4 years ago

Hive Keychain is a good way to log into PeakD, which is a SteemPeak style interface for the Hive blockchain.

As of Friday 22:46 (about two hours ago), the first official release of Hive KeyChain has been released. As of yet, it is not available in the Google store for Brave but you can use developer mode to install it.

You can get a GUI for Git on Windows. Got get it. Install it. If you are on Linux, you know what to do. Once installed, clone https://github.com/stoodkev/hive-keychain to some folder from the GUI. This is a project by @stoodkev. In Git checkout tag, "1.8.2.1". It's the only tag displayed in the GUI. You want to checkout the "tagged" versions.

In the Browser, go to Extensions from the menu. Toggle into developer mode. Click "Load Unpacked". Then browse over to where you checked out the hive-keychain and "choose folder".

So, now you can now use Hive KeyChain. If or when it appears into the store you can install it from there to avoid the bothersome "disable developer extensions" message that will pop up when Brave starts.
