Just hanging around till the lights go out for me or for the chain, whichever comes first. At my age it's most likely to me me. š
There are connections here that mean something to me. They always seem to bring me back.
DPoS governance has proven to be a failure in my estimation. Dapps could be its one saving grace yet old projects seem to be leaving quicker than new ones are appearing. Even Dan Larimer, the original creator, bailed on the project before the fork from STEEM.
If the project itself still meant something to me my focus would not be on the social media aspect but on Dapps development; throwing whatever stake in my control to help in the funding and the promotion of viable Dapps. Your stake could have a lot of say where all those Ninja Tokens end up being used.
Anyway have to get some rest up for the big day tomorrow. All the best.
You unfortunately are not unique here. You share the perspective of a lot of people on HIVE that are still mad at something. It appears to be Steem by I really do not know. It is a major headwind either way.
I am not optimistic for HIVE price in 2026 because so many people have stayed here for reasons other than driving HIVE to a better future.
Yeah the fork caused a lot of heartache. Guilty as charged.
I cannot imagine the kind of toll that had on peopleās lives. Iām sure people got legit medical issues from it and Iām not trying to be cute.
Stress can really weigh on people and some people literally die from stress.
Either way the fork āworkedā to a high degree. I can appreciate it was not perfect and getting to a place where it meets everyoneās standard is probably impossible.
But the fork gives HIVE value in a way most people donāt appreciate.
If someone tries to do it again, they know what will happen and that is a very good incentive structure to have in this space. In my opinion anyways.
